Anyone done any cruises up the Northern Beaches to say Palm Beach?

I'd be game to help organize one if there would be interest? Have a meeting point somewhere west and another somewhere near the bridge. Cruise to Palm Beach. Do the beach thing. Head back.

Would anyone what to help organize it with me?

i was driving along last night down mona rd, and there was a streetcommodores cruise on, about 50 cars it was massive and they all lined up in one line that was like a kilometer long looked ok, but i drove past them and some of the biggest death stares with my SAU sticker on ahhah

my maye was with me in his 33 he isnt on the forum so he wasnt aware of the tension between the 2 clubs and i pulled off and went bak and he kept going so i had to call him to not follow them all the way otherwise he might get in a spot of bother

I was thinking sometime in early March?

Guess we need is a good place to start. Someplace everyone from west and south could get to easily. If we got some guys/gals to help from those areas they could meet up and then we could find someplace central (Chatswood, N Sydney) where everyone could meet up and go the rest of the way together.

Part two is we need a destination in Palm Beach. The beach would obviously be cool but later in the day parking might be tougher. I've been there a few times buy don't know the landscape that well.

I know its a bit of a haul for some of our western and southern friends do we'll have to wire us some entertainment at the destination. I have notice that surfboard don't fit into 'lines very well...

Hey champ, I live in the area you just mentioned. Would not be any bother to assist you if you want, meeting in chatswood could be a tad awkward due to highly poppulated while shops are open. Have you considered maybe Artarmon Industrial Area its near M2, Pacific Hwy close to chatswood & Nth Sydney, I have a workshop there, not so hard to find parking at times.Maybe at Max Breners St Ives on Monavale rd in car park, main rd leads out west & to beaches. :(

Anyhow just let us know what you would like to do & I will see if I can assit you in anyway. ;)

I was actually invited to that cruise - even in my car  (street comms)

spose being good mates with the editors helps :ninja:

(off topic - Jase - where is your workshop?? Im in Artamon also - Fredrick street)

Hey guys, the last pizza cruise to palm beach meeting place was in the chatswood chase car park then everyone went down to a pizza place in new port then after that everyone went to palm beach.

If it's on I'm there. there is the link for The last pizza cruise

Hey CHRIS the shops in Cleg st, but I'm not there everyday. Will be there on appointment, got a dealership & mobile work goin on at the moment, hopefully be there full time if I can keep the work comin to me rather than me goin to the work. More than welcome to pop in 1day, can probably even give you a lift home, cousins house is in Montview pd, give me an excuse to visit him:) .

We can go one of two ways

So the last pizza cruise was a night thing. Took off around 9 and headed up for pizza. Would be a fun kinda night cruise but some of the less behaved boys might be more inclinded to act the fool. One approach could take is to drive up to Palm late afternoon, catch sundown at the beach, then head down for pizza and everyone can go their ways (home or out) from there. Probably argues for a Saturday night (March 24th?).

Alternatively, I was thinking a bit more Sunday morning - day like the Blue Mountains & Wiseman's Ferry. Drive up in the morning - hang at the beach. We can either BBQ there or then leave back down to Mona Vale or somewhere on the way back and get a bite. I suspect by March the weekend crowds will be down and finding mass parking during the day will be OK. Sunday the 25th is probably a better option for that.

What do you guys think?

    • yeah i agree paint match stops it from standing out so much, oh that's actually really good to know i was wondering if it would help with air flow now actually having an outlet in the bonnet. Will have to focus on ducting into and out of the radiator now to make the most of it.
    • I would paint match the whole thing to avoid unwanted attention  I had a similar bonnet, paint matched, on my old R33 GTST, but mine was a fibreglass jobbie made by Blitz in QLD, they work extremely well for radiator efficiency and under bonnet temps
    • Does anyone run this kit with factory plenum? Does the adapter and bosch tb fit under factory strut brace? I wanted to get this setup before going forward facing manifold. Thanks
    • small update time, after always wanting a "cool" looking bonnet for my car and always struggling to find one for the series 2 that i liked and wasn't an insane amount of money. Saw one i liked on RHDjapan from D-speed in Japan the price was very good for a carbon bonnet so good infact i was a little unsure how much i trusted it, decided to bite the bullet and with the help of jesse streeter in not long at all it was at my door. Once it was delivered i ran in from work and quickly unboxed it and to my surprise the quality was actually pretty good i quickly removed the old bonnet and placed on the new one to test it out and even the fitment wasnt too bad at all. Then decided to paint the little grille in the bonnet black to stop it sticking out so much.   I decided to not mess around with the hood latch and just install some aero catch hood pins, having never installed them before did some YouTube university classes and i was good to go. fair to say it is not a fun job at all from making brackets so the pins sit nicely and actually cutting through the bonnet but also being very scared of cutting the holes too big it took wayyyy longer than i would like to admit but finally got it there. Then it was time for a quick test drive to ensure the latches actually worked and thankfully the bonnet looked very stable. I still think paint matching the bonnet and leaving just the part that sticks up as carbon would help make it all look alot neater as im not sure how i feel about all that carbon on a very fridge white car but will leave it as is and see how i feel with time.
    • I think it's bound to happen, you finally get it all perfect, and bam, something will happen. I took a while to get a Commodore rear quarter repaired where a P Plater clipped it. Two days after getting it back, Sarah wiped it out on a concrete pillar in an underground car park... This is why I take forever to repair them, it stretches how long until it gets bent again... 😛
