hey guys

i just put a 25det in my 31, and i put a new oil filter on and did an oil change (i put 5L of new oil back into it)

i ran the engine, and whatever and the only gauge i have is the temp gauge

i turned the car off, and pulled the dipstick out and i noticed there was no oil on the dipstick, and it made a weird hissing noise kinda from where i pulled it out

and there was no oil on the dipstick... i let it sit for 10 mins and then i checked it, and the oil was on H on the dipstick...

is this normal? or should i add more oil?

dont check the oil when the motor is running,

only check it after it has been turned off and sitting for at least a minute,

who wired up the Rb25 into your 31,

you would of had to change the sender or fit an aftermarket oil pressure gauge, my 31 oil gauge was off the scale all the time and the oil light on,

edit: my 31 had rb25det as well, which i fitted and wired

I had rb25det in my 31 and my oil guage worked fine! make sure the little black wire clip is on your pressure sender on the left hand side of the filter. If it doesnt work it wasn't wired in. Its completely compatible. Like that dude said. check oil when the motor is off. most the oil is being pumped around when its running. If your guage is f**ked i have a spare silhouette dash cluster with working guages in it here if you wanna buy it! lol

have you seen my baseball?

lol, go easy on him buddy,

your best bet is to get an aftermarket gauge or somebody to check the oil pressure for you until youo get a gauge,

my oil gauge was right up because of the different resistances in the sender units,
