whats a TD06 worth? sounds awsome. I also have heard of a TD05/6, anyone else heard of this? apparently good upgrade for RB25 and has very quick spool up with good top end, although full boost by 3grand from the 06!! damn isnt that as good as standard?

Hi JMS is that you car on the Tilbrooks dyno graph on the "Which Trust Setup?" post?

If it is can you please have a look at the following table and let me know if it is close to what you have experienced...

At 7,000 rpm it has 300 rwkw

At 6,000 rpm it has 250 rwkw

At 5,000 rpm it has 195 rwkw

At 4,000 rpm it has 93 rwkw

That's an average of 210 rwkw.

To work this out I assumed on the dyno it was in 4th gear and running 27 kph per 1,000 rpm. I had to do this extrapolation because the graph did not show rpm.

I would appreciate your comments.

Actually got to drive the JMS 302rwkw GTST last night (thankyou Terry). I must say I was quite impressed. That car doesn't have the usual huge jap turbo sledge hammer effect at all ,but, was quite progressive power delivery. Very drivable even through tight cornering- no opps I boosted at the wrong time and did a 360! The turbo lag was noticable and took a slight change in driving style. Instead of just planting your foot for instant boost I had to change down a gear and use the revs. A familiar woooosh comes from anything over 3000rpm and a shove in the seat really takes effect after 3700rpm. The cars redline is set to 8000rpm which still provides ample rev range to play with. Would be lieing if I said I wasn`t grinning from ear to ear inside ( couldn`t let on to much that I`ve never driven a car with that much power b4 and Terry said he is a girl in the passinger seat) when I was frying the tyres all the way through second and third!- not enough road for fourth.

sidewaymambo- definately no instant throttle response if thats what your getting at. Extremely good compared to other cars "I`ve" driven with hiflo and big Jap turbos

Sydneykid- You seem to know better, how about you tell us what its like since you have never even seen the car. ciao

This simply isn't ture. New generation turbochargers using variable turbine geometry and variable pitch turbines work to eliminate lag. They are more responsive and create higher boost pressures at lower engine speeds than conventional tubochargers by altering the internal geometry of the turbine housing. The boost pressure is optimized across the engine speed range by adjusting the guide vanes inside the turbine housing. At lower engine speeds, they restrict the flow and thus boost pressure is increased; at high engine speeds they open wide and the exhaust back-pressure falls, restoring top-end power.

These things would be simply awesome on the side of an RB.

I hope that brings people up to speed. No pun intended.

Hi BOOSTD, did I read this right.....

"I was lookin a getting a trust TD06. Terry from JMS just installed one onto his Rb25 powered 32 and made 308rwkw @1.2bar and full boost a 3000rpm."

had another read, still says full boost at 3000

was replying to the quoted post not the above one, i must have been skipping around the thread a bit.
