does it matter which way the flow direction on the z32 as i have moved the afm to the other side of the car and i have it goin the oppisite direction will it effect my cars power when i tune it

Of Course it does! An AFM backwards is a big no no.

It would not work at all.

The MAF sesor doesn't know its installed backwards, its still passing the same ammount of air over the surface.

Not 100% entirely correct... If you look at the AFM housing it is not mirrored so there will be a flow difference both ways, but your definately on the right track, it is just airflow over a wire.

That is to help mechanics that don't a clue. The direction of flow should be obvious to most people who have a clue, but it will still show a reading which ever way it is mounted.

well at the moment i dont have a tune on my r33 gtst and it hits 280rwkw so ill see when i tune it i wasnt sure wether it made a diff or not
