Hi all,

Just want to know where to get a hold of a series 2 rear garnish (the ones that light up). As far as i know, they only came out on a few of the r33's as a factory option, and are rare as.

Any suggestions are appreciated, cheers in advance.

That guy is in England,... I'll paste his posts here so people don't have to sign up to see what he is selling...

"sold a few of these on here, there are threads on them if anyone wants to hear peoples views on them..

full money back guarantee....

£100 all in

Tony"

"looks like this one has now gone, probably eb another one in the next week or so tho...

Tony

p.s i may soon be selling a VERY VERY rare factory option R32 rear illuminated panel... watch this space.. this is so rare i know of ony ONE other in the UK...."

"TonyT,

when you supply these, is the wording all masked in ready for painting in our cars colour or do we have to do it ourself?"

"hi showa, i send em with the letters clear (i take all the paint off them) and the rest of the panel covered in good quality black gaffa tape so the effect can be seen..

the bodyshop would simply take off the gaffa tape (it doesnt leave loads of residue) clean down the front of the panel, mask off the letters then spray it..

i advise a fair few coats as the leds are bright..

some people have just left the gaffa tape on, and some may want to put carbon sheeting on the panel, so i just leave it upto them really...

hope this helps, i'm getting a few pms about wether i can convert your own clear panel, the answer to that is YES, i charge £60 all in and can usually turn them around in 3 days..

all the ebst..

Tony"

Hi,

Just wondering how much the series 1 centre garnishes go for and where i could possibly get one, as im from central qld i dont believe they have an import wreckers in the area.

When looking for skylines i would have preffered an r34 gt-t but a little out of my price range, as i didn't like the arse end of the 32 and 33. But i ended up buying a r33 40th anniversary, but the back is stock and i have a 400r front bumper.

What i want to do is get this light in the garnish, throw a gtr wing on led lights and some pods. Information or pricing on any of these items would be appreciated, but i want to start with the light as i am an electrician would prefer to do this option as there are no other cars in town with this light. Not even factory.

Does ne1 know what they use for the factory light??? cuz it would be good to get one to light up in a chrome garnish. but am still leaning towards the other option as it seems to be easier.

Cheers,

Julian

Im capable of making my own, i would actually enjoy doing it i just can't get a hold of a series 1 garnish. i can swap my mate but then i would have to paint my white one to burgandy to match his car.

Ive seen one go for 30bucks on ebay, but i don't have an ebay account.

does it only act as a brake light?? i was just gonna leave it normal lights, perhaps brighten when brakes applied...the cops shouldn't give a damn, cuz its a red light, (u can use a red underbody at the back as a brake light if u wanted to. amber for sides clear for front etc).

there are two on the uk skylines...they are £50 pounds dont know what that is in Aus dollars....but its gonna be more expensive than finding one there.....but if you want it i could get it and ship it to you.

Let me know

    • Not stock. All remade. Mostly looks stock because the pipes run to and from the standard holes in the inner guard to get to the return flow FMIC. I'm not sure which question you're trying to ask, because it seems like "stock position" vs "stock position".
    • Hey, it's a GT-R, it's just as significant a moment as mine😁 It's not ideal when things are uncertain; I'm the type of person that always has a set plan for things in life so being unsure of this plan puts me in a weird place mentally.
    • Hows your intake piping? Are you still running stock? Having in the stock AFM position would mean, if the BOV was shut/venting out, it'd create the almost stalling kind of effect right // "the rich pulse behaviour" due to MAF thinking air is flowing ? But this would be better than having the bov in the stock position + MAF on/just before cross over piping right?
    • Essentially, yes. Although I wouldn't put the AFM on the crossover pipe. I'd want to put it into what amounts to the correct size tube, which is more easily done in the intercooler pipework. I bought a mount tube for card style AFM that replaces the stock AFM - although being a cheap AliExpress knockoff, it had no flange and I had to make and weld my own. But it is the same length and diameter as the stock RB AFM, goes on my airbox, etc etc. I don't have a sick enough rig to warrant anything different, and the swap will take 5 minutes (when I finally get around to it and the injectors & the dyno tune).
    • So to summarise, the best thing to do is to move recirc to between turbo and IC, and maf on the crossover pipe. Meaning I'd need a recirc flange, drill a hole in the piping on turbo outlet area. And drill hole on crossover to fit/weld maf sensor? Either that or put the MAF on the turbo inlet right?  Is an aftermarket recirc/blowoff valve recommended? Do currently have family in Japan so could probably bring something back with maybe a cheeky lil SuperAutobacs run?
