OK it is gunna be even hotter than we thought.....so we will try and get the cruize under way ASAP. We will aim to meet @1pm & leave by 1.30pm.....(if you are running late & want to know where we are, call me 0431 396 417.

MEETING POINT

When turning into Jack High lane (from Golden Grove Road) the road outside the swimming centre is always full of cars (parked on both sides of the road, in the shade)....squeeze through them, keep coming up the road, vear to the left at the end of the cemetery fence....then drive straight ahead into the large car park @ the end of the road.

On the southern boundary of the car park there are some very large shaddy gum trees, lets squeeze as many cars under them, as we can.

PLease bring bottles/cans of COLD drink....although driving through the hills, it should be reasonable and we will make drink stops along the way.

Todays cruise was great, despite the hot weather. Was great to meet some more SAU people too.. well i met some, i just cant remember who lol (sorry :|)

Car was playing up a bit at first, aircon died, but then came back on again so i was lucky.

Didnt end up back at pub, went for a swim instead. Hope everyone had a good day and made it home safely

thanks to everyone who came 2day - it was amazing that despite the heat so many turned up and went along the cruise........

4dirty2 - Were you the yellow 32 that was at glenelg before the cruise, bout 12 with the silver 32?

(With the jap plates)

Despite the heat it was an awsome cruise, loved it, was nice going through the hills - didnt know where we were half the time.

P.S. Who was drinving the 34 with the gold rims? That car sounded crazy on take off

might've been Iron Chef, with the r34+gold rims?

it was a great cruise! i was next to someones silver r34 at the carpark meet saw some freaken aweasome skylines there. Especially that GT autosound r34, damn that thing is insane. Despite 40degree weather, turbo held up okay haha

sorry i didnt get to talk to many of yas, one of the other 31 club members was a bit slack and put us behind at the south meet point. and my foot slipped once (whoopsy).

had an awsome day thanks guy's. it was wicked that so many got together for a great cause.

Didn't see any police till we got to the pub at the end which was good.

I thought the route we took was the bomb and was good to see everyone survived it, minus a few over heats.

Also, was great to meet you guy's all down at ingle farm even though I only just lived down the road from the swim centre.

Thanks for the great day guy's and keepin it safe...

    • Purchased a NC MX5 a while ago Basic suspension mods done, BC coils and Whiteline sway bars  New DBA calipers, discs and pads Added some 17 x 8 Konig Decagrams with PS5's Added some typical NA bolt on's, i.e. full exhaust and intake  Added 0.5ltrs with a MZR2.5 swap, nice bump in torques  Found a detachable hard top which is locked in for a colour match with my local paint shop in Feb 25 The little thing is awesome, I drive it everywhere, it handles like a dream whether I'm up it or just cruising  But now,  because I'm a idiot, I keep looking at turbo kits....... did I mention I'm a idiot Why is dose so appealing
    • I would not be surprised if you are the only person on earth that has the interest/desire to do that lol.  The Haltech base map is a really good starting point, the car will fire easily and drive very well, even on mild boost levels. To me, following your advice sounds like some sort of ancient Chinese water torcher lol (this is not an insult Josh, never change <3)
    • Those car show concepts from the 2000's and 2010's like the Floria and IDx were brilliant and should've gone ahead, at least one of them. But neither Honda nor Nissan are thinking about affordable performance any more, which is truly sad.  Even if Toyota's liquid hydrogen ICE development reaches the point where it's commercially viable and the infrastructure to support it, Honda/Nissan would have to wait until Toyota allow fee access to their patents to offer it with any smaller performance models they released to take advantage of it.
    • A sporty manual RWD coupe with a IL4 Honda engine would only be a good thing I assume we won't see anything released for a few years though, unless informal talks and designs have been going on for a few years,  and due to the current, and future, emmisions and safety requirements, I assume anything "sporty" they would do would be at least some hybrid thingie And hopefully anything they are thinking of has nice lines, without lots of plastic and fake bits hanging off it like that horrendous FK8 that looked like it was designed by a 13 year old The other issue of course in the current market is cost, currently the type R is around $70k, a twin is around $50k Meh, I'm old and grumpy and would rather buy a older model car and waste my coin on that than buying anything currently available new
    • Nissan needs to forget about building SUVs in every size possible and bring back the damn Silvia/200sx duo to compete with the 86/brz. Maybe with the Honda type r motor pointing the right way
