As for insurance, try 'young and cool', shannons, suncorp or 'AON' as key words if the general search brings up too many results.

Insurance seems to be getting worse lately.

I was considering importing an 89 model GTST for next year so I rang around to get some quotes and was horribly surprised.

Previously I was paying $1100 per year with Suncorp for a 1995 R33 GTST.

Rang around to get quotes on a 89 model R32GTST with a value of $10000 and got:

Suncorp: Sorry we won't insure you with that car.

Famous: $1650 (agreed value $10k no mods)

JustCars: $1450 (agreed value $10k no mods)

This for a 24 year old driver with 60% no claim bonus (rating 1) and a perfect driving history without a single fine or accident ever.

No way I am paying that! Might have to buy a crummydore or something.
