Just about to get an SAFC and need it tuned. Is it a good idea to get a boost controller at the same time?

The main reason I want it is that the GTR I have is pinging very badly on hot days. I have retarded the timing a bit and it helped a tad, but it really needs a good A/F ratio and tune.

2 questions:

1) can you set up dual fuel maps on the SAFC to run 2 different boost levels

2) is it best to invest in an electronic boost controller too and get them both tuned together?

I want to clean up the car a bit before forking over too much cash on toys like boost controllers, but I dont want to have to get 2 SAFC tunes done either. What do you all think?

get a boost controller and get both done at the same time

the safc newer models support 2 maps but no need

just tune for the safest power and boost you can run

and deal with on a daily basis, i see no need for a low and hi mode setup
