Hi all,

Just a quick Q - is it common for dodgy coil packs to cause a miss, as well as the TCS, SLIP and Engine lights to come on? Noticed it the other day and haven't driven the car since. It happened for a minute or two, then went away after pulling over to idle, but occurred again when I was about 2k's from home.

Is driving while in this state likely to cause damage to the car? It doesn't sound healthy - the miss makes it sound nice and lumpy, but for the wrong reasons :D

yeah its a common r34 thing, nothing to worry too much about just replace the coils, usually people go for the splitfire ones (normally sell for about $500 a set); im currently replacing mine, as my skylines been doing it for some time now however its only recently got bad enough to really piss me off and order a set :P. when it happens i dont believe any real damage is being done, i just give it the boot for a few seconds and it clears it right up.
