Ive had my s1 stag for 7 months now and want to get a s2. I started doing a few mods to the old girl then spoted this nice red S2 for 25 K. The mods i have done are hybrid r33 fmic ,apexi pod ,apexi 3 inch cat back exhaust and a s1 shift kit. both mine and the s2 have leather and are both fully optioned but mine has the twin sun roofs, auto start and a lugage fan , that never gets any use. is it worth upgrading and starting my mods all again? need some input :D not shure if its worth the extra cash . also anyone in wa looking for a s1 cos i will have to sell my one first.

thought about it, the main thing to change is th fmic and looking at the s2 it will be harder to install. anyone done a r33 intercooler that routs under the battery with a hole cut in the chassi for the s2..? also is 25 k to much for a s2 wit 77 thousand on the clock? the condition is quite good 1 small scratch on the paint and the car comes wit a 3 year warranty

Hey Jippa, theres an s2 on ebay, pretty cheap BUT it would need some new front panels. Good buying for an S1 owner such as yourself looking for the upgrades. Check it out .

Bidding starts at $4700.

love to get another project on the go but already got 3 cars in the driveway. one more and id be in the bad books wit the misses. just got rid of an fj 40 wreck that lived in the garage for 6 months as a spider breeding ground :D

Thats the choice I made a while ago, stick with S1 and convert to manual or sell and buy an S2 manual.

I love my car too much to sell it, and I've spent so much on it already that I won't recover in a sale, so I'm just going to keep making it better.

Also, it's way hard to find a manual stagea with leather and dual sunrooves, gotta have the class :P

apart from the inner gaurds being different and me not changing them, i needed to drill 2 new holes for the headlights. Otherwise, its a direct bolt on.

You will need to get an auto elec to rewire the lights too, but that only cost me $250. You need the plugs with the headlights.

you did a pretty good job too Alex in facelifting your ride man. Godd job!!

Easier to put Series 2 lights on an S1 than changing the whole front end :pwned:

Really? Bonnet, front guards and bumper are all very different S1 to S2, the lights are a completely different size and shape... I'd say it would be impossible to just change the lights over.

I've done it to my S2 - put in a very large 'Monster' FMIC. It slipped straight in (didnt even need the vaseline).

Yeah, you have to cut a hole directly under the battery, but it misses all the vital bits. You will need to trim the front bumper where the in/out pipes connect to the IC. Plus (unfortunatley) the 'Neo' engine cover to accommodate the cross over pipe .
