The injectors and Ignition have seperate fuses in the harness.have to check each one im unsure which is which

make sure the timing is not over advanced or retarded.Skylines dont run at certain points.Did you install the timing belt correctly

is it series 1 or 2

They have a earth at the rear of the coil pack on no 6

make sure this is put back on.

have you tried jump starting the car

have you got comp in the engine

Plugs are dry as a bone. spark is fine, im checking injector pulse with a light... it has constant (+) current on one side but no

(-)current on the other side

Hi,

I had the same problem it sounds like when i rebuilt my engine, (400rwkw RB26) My mate did not tighten a hose correctly and it would rev freely to redline, and idel ok, but when driving, as I started to make boost it felt sulgish and would only go to 5000,5500 rpm and start to back fire and not rev any further.... I found that the plugs fowed, and it was not starting correctly, try to check your hoses for a spilt/loose clamp. You can connect a compressor to the inlet while you block off the extra hose and flow air through, try to keep it under 15 psi.

See how you go!

i assume u mean a test light?

ive never hooked up a test light to an injector to know what it would show

if u wanna check pulse you need a noid test light, it will actually show you the pulses

- yes it was with a test light and a logic probe...

- the plugs are sparking also

sorry man what is a logic probe?

logically speaking, you found the problem was the broken CAS shaft, that is a obvious reason why it shouldnt go..

so logically the problem is there, possibly a faulty part? or possibly but i doubt it damage to the cam gear where it meets up with the CAS

yeah i was sure it was gonna go once i put the NEW cas back on... :D

Maybe i should pull the new CAS off to see if it has snapped again.

the logic probe is a LED light thing...im not real sure how it works but oh well... a test light wuold be more than enough to check injectors.

**The HICAS (rear steering) is really noisy now to and the light keeps flashing on the dash...damn it..(is this normal?)

Ok, the car started this morning and the died after 5mins of idleing...So i pulled off the CAS and its snapped the brandnew CAS shaft... how can i mae sure everything is aligned properly? or is there other reasons it snaps?.....very costly part..i cant go breaking anymore of them

ive heard of this before.. and tis got to do with the cam shaft being out of alignment with the CAS shaft... take your exhaust cam cover off and suss out to see if all the cam bearing caps are tight and seated properly.. turn the motor over by hand to make sure the cam spins true and straight.

ok, CAR IS GOING AGAIN -----so far so good

Turns out i pulled the cas bracket off that is behind the cam cover..and found that it was missing one of its two alighnment dowls...which as a result was putting the cas shaft out of wack...and breaking the shafts.

- also car is still missfiring under load..so im trying a stock ecu and a coil ignighter module 2moro.

cheers for everyone's help its been great... still not 100% but progress has been made.

cheers to all

    • I would not be surprised if you are the only person on earth that has the interest/desire to do that lol.  The Haltech base map is a really good starting point, the car will fire easily and drive very well, even on mild boost levels. To me, following your advice sounds like some sort of ancient Chinese water torcher lol (this is not an insult Josh, never change <3)
    • Those car show concepts from the 2000's and 2010's like the Floria and IDx were brilliant and should've gone ahead, at least one of them. But neither Honda nor Nissan are thinking about affordable performance any more, which is truly sad.  Even if Toyota's liquid hydrogen ICE development reaches the point where it's commercially viable and the infrastructure to support it, Honda/Nissan would have to wait until Toyota allow fee access to their patents to offer it with any smaller performance models they released to take advantage of it.
    • A sporty manual RWD coupe with a IL4 Honda engine would only be a good thing I assume we won't see anything released for a few years though, unless informal talks and designs have been going on for a few years,  and due to the current, and future, emmisions and safety requirements, I assume anything "sporty" they would do would be at least some hybrid thingie And hopefully anything they are thinking of has nice lines, without lots of plastic and fake bits hanging off it like that horrendous FK8 that looked like it was designed by a 13 year old The other issue of course in the current market is cost, currently the type R is around $70k, a twin is around $50k Meh, I'm old and grumpy and would rather buy a older model car and waste my coin on that than buying anything currently available new
