6 Inch Remove And Replace

hey guys,

my car's selling out. The owner negotiated to have the car without any speakers but i thought i put in some cheapies to fill the hole.

Anyway, I have some questions:

Currently running on 6.5inch 2 way splits. I found some 6 inch speakers. They don't come with that "split" box..

Question : I am running an amp for these speakers and I will leave him the amp.

1) can the amp still drive these speakers if they were not splits? I'm looking at the SOny 6 inch 2 way speakers at http://www.strathfield.com.au/images/Catal...0122/JPG/p5.JPG - as in , will it still have sound??

2) do I have to disconnect the battery when i replace the speakers? I don't think so but just checking...

If you didn't have a crossover, i'd guess that you wired the tweeters and mids in parallel to the amp, which is not the worst thing in the world, but certainly hooking up normal 2 or 3-way speakers is going to be no problem.

Leave the stereo system off, and you're fine to play with those wires.
