Planning to go on a cruise with some 4+5 mates cars(R33's and S15's) this weekend but need some good twisty smooth surfaced roads, like TOUGE BATTLE ;) .. I hear Dandenong mountains have some good roads but is there any other that you know off? Road names and area names would be great!!

If interested, come tag along.. the more the merrier! We're a friendly bunch, can meet some where before heading off!

Head up to healesville, through the town and onto the blackspur, best road i know of in victoria, kills great ocean even in my opinion. - It's a 100 zone, lots of positive camber, smooth surface etc, dunno what touge is mind you, but yeh it's a good road for cornering

I thought Black Spur was 80 zone now, might be wrong though.

There are some very good twisties off from Healesville instead of going through the spur. They are super twisty though and bought us back eventually through Eltham. Somewhere near King Lake

touge is the mountain runs where one car follows another - and basically to determine who wins, they calculate the gap between the 2 cars. If the gap is increased, the front car wins, if its decreased, the back car wins. Best motoring had some good touge battles...tsuchiya, orido and all those people doing what they do best.

But yeah, there are some nice roads up north, but last time i went, there was road works, so becareful up there. Good twists, but due to the road works, it was very narrow.

the road alan is talking about was via toolangi, i am sure that is 100 though ;-) very good road, and if u r super keen then join both the spur and that road to make a long drive.

That's the one! I forgot you were on here as that was your cruise ;)

have you been to Arthur Seats? it's got some twisty road over there..

try Studley Park , off Johnston st but don't go too fast in the 1st run

did u mean yarra blvd? lots of cops on that road.

healesville is about 20min from lilydale. authers seats is too short a road, but maybe i am imagining things, havent been to it in a while, esp not on my evo.

If your up for a long drive, id say go up to MT Hotham, the drive from Harrietville to the top of MT Hotham is something else, ive been working up there for the past 5 months and driven up and down in the work car to many times and it never gets boring  great scenary as well when your close to the top, just be careful of the wombats, wallabies and deers that you might collect on the way up and down:)

Mt Dandenong: Mountain Highway is a nice drive, smooth and fun, mt dandy tourist rd, sherbrooke rd is an interesting one but punishment on exhausts and body kits. Emerald Monbulk rd and that area is nice, also finishing near upper beaconsfield is a good run...

Black Spur: a good ride if you can go there without traffic getting in your way...continue onto reefton if you have balls and a well setup car. Just dont blame me if you die at 1am up there, and watch the fires up there

Arthurs seat: a nice little set of uphill and downhill runs, tight in some spots, make sure you dont understeer into a cliff on the way up or off a cliff on the way down.
