I'm looking to buy a pair of seats from Just Jap that come only with "universal rails". Supposedly they need to be "modified and adapted" to fit my S1 2dr R33 gts-t

I just have a number of questions that I need answered before i go ahead with the purchase:

What is involved in modifying the rails? Is it something I can do myself?

If not, then how much (on average) would I be expecting to pay someone to fit them?

Has anybody here who has modified these rails themselves give me some insight into it please!

Thanks guys

i hope you find a pretty cheap way to do it!.. i really wana buy those bride copy leather seats from justjap. but last time i heard to get rails modified was around 600 :P

Around $300 per side is fairly reasonable IMHO - You can still end up with a good set of brand new seats fitted for under $1000 which is pretty decent.

Basically, it's a real bitch of a job.

What you have to do, is end up with some combination of the oringal rails mated with the universal rails.

It's totally bogey. Requires welding and cutting. If you don't ahve a welder, drill, grinder, I wouldn't even think about trying it yourself.

If you have a look in the for sale section, you can buy bride rails second hand for pretty cheap. like maybe 200 each. They're much better.
