Because of my shoulder reconstruction I have been a passenger for a few weeks. I noticed that sometimes as the ignition is turned off the front passenger seat belt moves ever so slightly. Not a lot but noticeable.

Today, my first drive for six weeks, my son remarked on the belt movement.

Does anyone know what this is?

Interstingly the cops are taught to pretension the belts when doing a chase. You suck your guts in and snatch on the belt at the same time, tightening it, and then locking it in place by letting your belly out, but not so that it is uncomfotable. Sure restricts your movement, give it a try, but not in the Stagea, as the pre-tensioners will do the job.

they're actually seat belt DE-tensioners. they're loosened electically so you're more comfortable. if airbags go off (i.e. in a crash) ,they firm up,or when the ignition is turned off, you'll notice them turn off,and normal tension returns to the reels.

celsiors have this as well.
