Hey im in the market for a decent car ramp cause it would make servicing sooo much easier. Ive looked around and yeah ive seen some pretty bodgy looking things sold at super cheap. Anyone know of decent ramps they use so you can point me in the right direction. Also how much does a R33 weigh so i know the ramp i buy is strong enough.

Check the weight on the compliance plate under your bonnet. I have a pair of supercheap ramps up in the bush which consistently have Lada Nivas on them getting fixed (which weigh about 1500-1600 which is more than a Skyline) Im sure u can get better but the price was right!

nah car isnt really low. besides with the use of a plank of wood it would get up there. But yeah want to make sure I buy something decent which wont drop on my head when im changing the oil.

Ramps arent that great as they tend to slide away from the car as you try to drive on them and can be dangerous to get the car onto safely. Id be more inclined to get a set of 2000kg stands and a decent trolley jack. Much easier to use and ive tried both ways so this is 1st hand.

Upto you though. Good luck.

Yeah i guess im sensing a pattern. Ive got the nismo front lip also so yeah. Hmm i guess im going to have to get some 2000kg stands. Im not very trustworthy when it comes to getting upder a car with these kind of contraptions is it safe??? I was thinking ramp because obviously looks more sturdy but yeah.

my mate reversed onto a pair of ramps and had them slide and kick in under the car.

i personally dont use mine anymore, not even to drive forwards onto. clutch doesnt like it, and it's always such a heartbeat kinda moment when you go up.
