R33 Brakes On Commodore

Recommended Posts

Hi all, I want to upgrade my brakes on my commodore and am thinking that the R33 gtst brakes front and rear would be a good and cheap upgrade. I have the option of using a 23.8mm master cylinder or 25.4mm master cylinder. Which would be more suited to the gtst calipers? I am completely confident on making all the adaptos and brackets, but after much searching, there seems to much science involved with brakes and matching them. Any thoughts or tips would be welcomed. Car is a VH comodore with 1JZ GTE, so it does need some better brakes. Thanks

use the vt-vz twin pot brakes and the matching rears from the same car. I believe places like hoppers stoppers etc. makes kits to fit a vh for good prices. Use the 1" master as thats what these use stock, give much better pedal feel than the smaller one 16/17th or whatever it is.
