Has anyone installed 6" component speakers in a R34, i am currently doing my whole new system and decided to put the components in the back as there is no room up the front for all the parts, does anyone have pics of work they have done or had done?

Also nissan have made a damn good car except the fact that i haven't stopped swearing since i started this project cause nothing lines up with the stock system.

just took the whole rear parcel shelf out so could get to speakers then found that the plastic cover over speakers has srews holding them on which you can access through some holes through the boot below the shelf, would of been handy to be able to see them first up, the shelf just clips through to the boot and also under the overlap behind rear seats, also to get my clarions in had to drill out the existing holes to fit new configuration.

i mean really it's not that hard if ya think about it hoo hah ( except for all the swearing)

directly underneath the speakers in the boot there should be a lot of holes in the sheetmetal i'm not sure what ones but there should be four on each side that go th the screws, really hard to see that's why i pulled the whole parcel shelf out it's much easier, there should be two blue clips in the boot and three inside the car behind the rear headrest plus you have to take the 3 bolts out that are for the baby harness points to get the shelf out. hope that helps

there are two bolts holding the bottom part of the seat, remove tht. Then just take out the bottom piece seat and the rear there are two bolts as well at both sides, undo those, then lift the back piece as it is hooked on to the frame behind..quite a hassle because they don't fold down

    • No not yet.  Hopefully this weekend if I can pluck up the confidence!  I had to sit in the car at one point yesterday to unbolt the rear struts.  As mentioned in an earlier post when I was putting it together there is still a bit of rotation possible so when I sat in the car, it rotated a little bit.  I near shit myself thinking the whole thing was coming down!  I do 99% of my own shit in the shed but I think I might call on some assistance the first time I spin it!
    • Strong first post. On a Skyline-centric forum. Have you considered actually going out into the world, visiting the actual dealership, and asking the parts guy over the counter? Or at least just call them up on the phone?
    • Should shit that in as for the driver ability probably not
    • Trying to find the plastic under cover for an 04' Forester X. The main under cover that covers most of the front of the vehicle under the engine. This has turned out to be a crazy experience. Normally I can find parts for vehicles, if I have the correct info, no problem. But not this! The Forester is a non-turbo btw. In a Forester parts catalog, for model years 03'-06', it shows part# 56410SA070 as being the correct part. So I go to the local Subaru dealership's website to order it. I type in the part#, hit search and there it is, the under cover. "DOES THIS PART FIT YOUR VEHICLE?" I type in my VIN# and sure enough, "This Part Does Not Fit Your Vehicle. See Similar Parts For Your Vehicle." I click on that and part# 56410SA000 comes up. Looks absolutely nothing like the previous part. Not even close. So I go to a different Subaru dealer website and put in that 2nd part# (56410SA000) and "This Part Has Been Replaced By" 56410SA070, which is the first part I looked up. I thought OK, makes sense. They replaced the strange looking part, with the one I looked up first, so I add it to the cart. "Does This Part Fit Your Vehicle?" I type in my VIN#, and sure enough, "This Part Does Not Fit Your Vehicle." I've basically been doing this with various parts suppliers and dealerships, for the past 4 hours! Does anyone know what the hell is going on?? Thanks in advance!
