What Does The Light Reduce Button Do?

anyone know what the light reduce button does in an r33? The one next to the dink holder near the gearstick, i have turned it on and off but it doesnt seem to do anything?

I just bought a "new" 1997 r33 s2 and found this switch and i have no idea what it does?

Switching it on and off seems not to do much at all, although on one occasion it seemed to turn off one of my main headlights and leave the other half on while the fog and parking lights were on?

This could be attributed to something else though.

Could it at all be connected to the fact that only the two outer stove burners come on when i turn on my headlights at night? Changing the position of the switch doesn't seem to affect this, though.

Any Suggestions would be appreciated! This has me mystified!

Just throwing it out there, but it almost makes sense..

Flick your highbeams on, and then get a friend to have his car face yours and turn his head light on. Perhaps this switch will turn the highbeams back down to normal when another car is coming the other way, and turn them back to high beam when there is no glare?

when u brake and come to a stop and hold for ove 5 secondsish...... it will fade to parker brightness
