Hey, once again, Son of Sydneykid

HKS make/sell tuned length exhaust manifolds.... They greatly improve exhaust flow. On the generic front, various places manufacture them. We are currently searching for an R31 GTS-R Skyline RB20 Exhaust manifold.....

The GCG Hi Flow uses all Garret parts, so it is a Garret turbo. It is also basically a NEW turbo after the Hi Flow as all of the parts that wear get replaced. And it will bolt straight back on. Just pick a level of horsepower.....they'll match it all up for you

Also grepin, have you upgraded the ECU..as it is not mentioned in your signature

I guess I should put details in my signature. I have everything I need to back up turbo upgrade. Even a second car if all goes pair shape. Because it is not a daily driver I can afford to go a bit wild. This is where my interest in not just going bolt on hiflow keeping it all standard develops from. However I am still practicale so also am not intending to throw lots of money away because it looks cool under the bonnet. Would still need regulator. May intend to do injectors and possibly Cams later.

Grepin

Your power output goals are not extremely wild, so the later 2 suggestions are probably not required. thge stabdard injectors are way fine until 300rwkw (i think, wil confirm with father)

I was reading the wrong person's signature when i posted that... i was reading rob's.... My bad.. its late ya'know

I am really interested in knowing exactly what you want from this car, especially if it is not a daily driver.... Makes suggestions a whole lot easier.. i tend to base most suggestions on daily driven road car, unless otherwise stated.....

I have one of those :)

on my car that is... with the RB25 in it :(

So how much does they floe Sydneykid? (if you know)

and how much extra does it give you ?

Like earlier turbo spool or high end power!?!?!

Not sure what the pros/cons are of these things... learn me away guys!!!

Hey rob

I personally prefer internal wastegates. too much extra cost and heartache with external's... And I prefer low mounted turbos...

R31Nismoid - Of course you have one.. very logical you would carry that over. they are good for bottom and mid-range power, hense why we need one for the race car.

Hi Guys, we are concerned with handling as well as horsepower, so a low, rear mount turbo is way better for CG & PMI. We are not allowed to change the bonnet or cut big holes in it. So the hi mount heat problem on the bonnet is a big concern in longer races.

Larger diameter primmary pipes are better for top end and not so good for mid range, vice versa for smaller diameter primary pipes. There is still some debate on whether equal length is worth the trouble on a turbo car. On anything with more than 300 rwkw I believe it is, others will argue not.

Hope that adds to the discusson.
