Tips for first time 1/4 mile racer

I am going to be racing at Eastern Creek soon.

Anyone got any good tips?

Launch RPM? etc?

Dremen if your going tomorrow night gimme a call (ICQ Me). I'll be going down to watch (again) from probably around 7pm onwards.

I personally will be launching from around 1500rpm @ 12psi just until I get a feel for the track and the surroundings.

Don't expect solid 13's all night (this from an inexperienced 1/4 driver). I personally would be happy with a 16sec first pass and a 14sec 2nd pass.

Drop your rear tyres to around 22psi.

In my experience if you launch in second you'll get a 15.7 @ 107mph so its not really that bad, I've seen Skylines launch in first gear and get worse

Which in most cases is every 2nd wednesday (4 weeks in a month) although this month my formula got thrown
