wow rb26 pfcs are $870 delivered

should go into business modifying them to suit ECR33

and sell for a profit

ill become my own ap engineering ho ho ho

Easy enough to determine if the RB26 pfc still tries to switch the vct on at the specified RPM point.

Grab that multimeter and go for a spin in rb26. :)

nah it wont, theres no VCT relay in the SENSOR SW CHECK screen

so no go there, someone would have to make a vct controller

the rest is just logic in the FC

duplicate the afm signal (can be done inside - ap eng style)

duplicate the 02 signal (can be done inside - ap eng style)

copy the rb25 afm ramps acrross - datalogit

copy the rb26 ign and inj stock maps - datalogit

adjust injector latency/correction to suit rb25 stockers

would give work airtemp as well

twin afm support if needed

Bugger..

Surely for those elec nuts out there it wouldn't be too difficult to grab the rpm signal and have it activate the vct at various rpm's. Jaycar kit KC5378 .

Why dont you guys have a look at a linkg3

http://www.linkecu.com/products/engine-man...g3-whatdoesitdo

Ive heard before re the ecu have only 4 coil outputs and that being a problem so i asked the question in the link forums

A plug in adaptor can be made for 400 nzd and the computer is around 1370nzd

no-one has really mentioned the haltech intercepter atm, anyone got any pros-cons on it??

my tunner really doesnt like the emanage ultimate as it seems to be very limited in its tunnabily, they suggest a wolf 3d but im not sure if im up for putting out that much cash.

haha i dont think it would be too much work for a vct box

acsplit said theres a buddy club unit apparently, but i could never find it

the rest doesnt seem too hard, some wiring inside the FC box

and 10 minutes work with datalogit connected and 12v power from a car battery

Really???

Are there any that have daughterboard's available for the RB?

This one isn't just a Daughterboard Rom tune, you can hook your labtop to it.

No chip burner's needed.

as the other guys stated its for r34

becarefull with the bikirom as tuning options may be limited , that was certainly the case in perth even when he was here

Autronic has piqued my interest...but i can't seem to find prices anywheres... has anyone had experience with these?...

But at a guess these are going to cost a sweet penny..and they don't look very plug and play...at least not for my Stagea...

Any one used these before? or got any good stories at least?

Paul, I would be very keen to see how the R33 GTR PFC works out. At the moment, the self tuning Autronic, that can completely self tune with a WB02 sensor is looking mighty fine, even if it is a bit pricey!

If I ran the GTR PFC, would I be able to run dual AFMs into a single turbo? If the GTR PFC can be done, I would definitely go down that path... Let me know if you want a test subject :P

yeah you could run twin afm's or single afm (and dupe the signal)

both would work

autronic autotune would be nice, just plug in the wideband and do some driving in various conditions and hey presto it's tuned. then all u need to do is on road ign timing which is easy. but at what prices does autotronic with autotune and wideband come to you at ?

E-01 only works on the Emanage Blue; this has been confirmed by Greddy itself.

As for those with RB20s; there is a guy in WA who does remaps for $90.00; I've lost the link to his site but he also supports CAs; SRs

Only RB20s for the Skylines though...

Haha, ill bet I would have to sell my soul to buy that Autronic system. From their site, the auto tune looks to be more targeted at a tuner. I dont know anything about Autronics and dont know anyone else who does. Is there anyone in Sydney who sells or tunes Autronic ECU's? *Edit* That you would recommend!

Other than that I guess Ill go a GTR PFC.

I would rather spend money and have an economical reliable car than make craploads of power and get 200km to a tank.

just remember the changes you need to make to get the GTR pfc working on your rb25, assuming it does work OK. and youll still need a VCT controller of some sort. you will also need datalogit or someone who has access to datalogit to copy across the maps and ramps for you

Well i had a good chat to a workshop tuner today, and he suggested me the Haltec unit (E11v2)

Seems like a very well built package that can control bascially anything..

Around 2.5k installed and tuned i think!! Didnt get proper quotes.. As i cant afford it, so didnt bother asking the price for total..

Anyone else here use haltec units?

eManage and other piggy backs are limited by design. You can only 'fool' the stock ECU so much by the time you throw n bigger injectors, turbo etc. Good for light to mild upgrades though.

The emanage blue maybe but the ULTIMATE will do everything the PFC will and more, ignition cut instead of fuel, D-jetro, nos control, water spray, on the fly map switching, A/f auto tune via wide band input, knock monitoring, full datalogging, launch control, programable outputs (x2) etc

I can confidently tune one of these to be anywhere near as good as any PFC, cats car is a perfect example.

The EMANAGE ULTIMATE got a bad rap because workshops of dubious ability wire them up wrong. (i do alot of GREDDY's australian tech support for them as i am thier largest acc holder and 99.9% is installer fault) the new plug and play harness's make it just as easy as a PFC to fit and they are super easy to tune.... as a bonus it eaven comes with the software to datalog/tune and so forth. this means you are not tied to one tuner like you would be with a remap.

i am more than happy to answer any emanage enquiries regardless of place of purchase on my email [email protected]

Please dont see this as a greddy plug as i also import sell and tune many a PFC, well as much of them as i can get my hands on lol (still have R34 GTR, S13 all, S14 all, JZZ30 and CA18...no R33 anymore)

cheers Trent
