R33 ECU's - What to choose?

Hey Guys and Girls, I want to replace or modify my standard R33 Series II ECU and I can't really decide what type to get. What sort of ECU's do u ppl run and what are the benifits of them? Have looked at Mine's, Apex'i, Wolf 3D, Greaddy and Link. Too many to choose from HELP!

IF you have any specific places, that you go to for parts or a tuning & preformance shop around you area, check and fin dout what they recommend. Check amberly autos in dandenong. pop down there talk to some of the guys they are very friendly and easy to talk to about these sort of things. Very good experience with skylines and professional service.

what mods do you have, and what are you going to be modding? probably good to know that when you post seeing some ecu's are probabaly good in some areas...i dont know:D

At the moment I have a pod filter, Apexi cat back system and a blitz bov. got an apex'i AVC-r to go on and a front mount. gonna put a dump pipe on too.

Yeah I do like em, thery look like they are pretty full on though. Wonder what the user friendliness like, Is that even a word? hehe?

Doesn't matter, as long as your Mechanic/Tuner knows what he's doing thats all you need.

I'd be getting your full exhaust (Front + Dump + 3" Cat) done before going an aftermarket ECU though.

Yeah thats what I thought too. As the cat back is apex't wonder if there is a turbo to cat pipe to match or if just any pipe for an R33 GTS-t of similar size will do.

Yeah and I know this is a stoopis question but the front pipe, what is it? from the turbo to the pod or what? with the bliz bov it replaces the pipe there.

the front pipe is the pipe that goes from the cat to the turbo this comes in one piece or 2 pieces also refered as dump pipe

After the last SAU dyno day at Goodguys I'm a bit wary of the wolf 3D's coz of Al's car and I've heard a few ppl say that they arn't as good as they are claimed. You heard any bad feedback about them?

gees i hope they are good, i am off to buy one tomorrow... I know the older versions were not up to scratch but the new V4 is ment to be pretty hot!

Get a Motec m48, if you can afford it. But if you do, get it tuned by Motec.

unless u are gonna get new turbo/injectors/afm/pump etc and chase some big power i would stick with a s-afc. Aftermarket comps like pfc and motec come into their own when u start changing all the stock parts
