Havent noticed much on this in this section, so would just like to clear up, i've been told the rb30 clutchfan will bolt straight up if you have an rb25/20, has anyone done this? Have they had any probs? As the charge for an rb30 clutchfan is very much more attractive than nissan new for a rb25 one.

thx

chris

Yes, I recently replaced the clutch fan on my RB30 (R31 skyline) with one of a few spare Rb20 and Rb25 fans in my shed.

If you want one I can sell you one for $30 + postage. I should have a good one in the shed.

Cheers

Are u talking about the fan itself or the clutch it sits on?

the fan - they all bolt up the same, but it has been said the rb25 fan is better designed (pulls more air?)

with the clutch - the only one that is a direct replacement is the rb30et one.

It is the same as the rb20/25det clutch.

Rb30e clutch shaft that bolts to the water pump is longer and thinner from memory...not much, but enough to not warrant using it...
