Hey guys i've got a R32, its pretty well stock at the moment, looking to spend some money on it to get it to a pretty quick street car, its a daily driver so its got to be drivable.

The car currently has:

K&N pod filter

Greddy turbo timer

Autogage monster tacho with shift light

Autometer cobalt series boost gauge

Exedy heavy duty clutch

I've collected a list of items and their prices that i would like to buy for the car, them me what you think of the brands their prices and any different options that may be better and/or cheaper.

Microtech LT12S $1,495.00

Microtech 4-line hand controller $195.00

Turbosmart Blow-off Valve Type-3 Supersonic $399.00

Turbosmart Street-Gate - 38mm Wastegate $550.00

Garrett TO4E Turbo 600hp $1,430.00

Five R Racing - RB25/20DET Stainless Turbo Manifold $879.00

Greddy SPEC-M Intercooler Kit - Nissan Skyline R32 GTS-T (RB20DET) $880.00

Greddy Profec B Spec II Electronic Boost Controller $565.00

TOTAL $6,393.00

Is there anything that anyone would add to this list?

For around $6,500 I would get:

- RB25DET + G'Box ( ~ $2000)

- High flow turbo ($900)

- Split Dump/screamer pipe ($400)

- Deatschwerks 550cc Injectors ($550 delivered)

- FMIC Kit ($350)

- Walbro FP ($180)

- Greddy EBC ($390)

- ECU + Tune ($1800)

Total Price = $6,570

Approx power = 250 - 280rw/kw

He has a GTS4, so just use the RB25... no gearbox.

Although you'd be VERY hard pressed to get an RB25 + box for 2k in any sort of decent condition.

The boxes alone are $1300-$1500... a running RB25 wont sell for $500, closer to 1-1.5k IMO with loom etc etc.

Im also the vote for using a hi-flow or something that bolts onto the stock manifold.

Ext gates/old design garret turbos are not what you need to be playing around with when there is stuff that does the same job, and better

if you find a rb25 + gb for 2k it must have like 300xxx k's on it :D. The gearboxes alone are ~1500min!

i would go with what mafia has said.

you would looking around 1750 for a gcg highflow

i wouldn't bother going for an engine swap for 250rwkw

engine swap you would also have to factor in the install cost (and a realistically priced engine)which adds up

I agree with your computer. I don't agree with your simple idea's.

Why do you think that your huge power will be supported by standard injectors and fuel pump? Is it because you didn't think about this at all?

Why not start off with a full exhaust including dump pipe. A cheaper manifold, if you must change at all. A hi-flow turbo. A cheaper intercooler. Then the ECU. Then tune it up, see how the injectors go, see how the fuel pump goes. Be prepared to change them. Why do you need a hand controller? Are you a tuning guru? If its because your tuner doesn't have a controller for microtech, I'd say they'd be more comfortable with a different computer, go with that computer. If your tuner is unknown to you at this point, I wouldn't be thinking about a computer until you do know who will tune the car.

Its all well and good to get the good stuff, but you seem to have missed alot of basics.

School holidays are almost over anyway...

If I've insulted you unfairly, then sorry, my real advice is:

go through the dyno results for your engine and see what others have done and see if you would be happy with those sort of setup's.

Let me ask you two simple questions...

what sort of power are you aiming for?

and how much do you have to spend?

Mate i dont have a set power figure in mind, just want it to be faster that what it is now

$10,000 is what i thinking about spending, what do you think of this budget and what would you spend it on?
