mmmm so some one can race my car for me ADAM lol, If some has a spectator space free i would like to watch.

It's a deal! You come as my spectator and I thrash your car down the strip.

So does that mean i can bring my friends car as a second car, provided i race it?

Yup.

Picked up my newly acquired M/T ET's today and now I need to ask for some information.

To all the drag racers,

The tire size is 255/50 x 16 and my car weighs about 1400kg.

As this is my first outing at WSID, would someone care to recommend a tire pressure that should last the day and give me some reasonable results.

The side walls say max load of 765kg @ 44psi, but I would assume this would be far too high pressure for my use when the total load on the rear might be 700kg body weight. And I wouldn't think half @ 22psi would be right either.

Thanks in advance,

Dennis

should be a great day, still deciding on whether to race....the slicks i have were almost bald 5 runs ago. Anyone selling second hand slicks? dont know if i want to go the street tyre.

The Nittos I bought off 2rismo were bald when I got them. I did about. 40 passes on them.

Well I got a bargain then, I guess the M/T ET's would be about 30% worn and 14/16 psi is the recommendation from Mickey Thompson Tires in the US.

Cheers, D

Start at 15psi and drop in 1psi increments until you're happy. Don't go lower than 11psi.
