Street slicks aren't that great.. we put some on my mates car and for driving around they are useless. They really need to be warmed up before they work well.. we want to see if it will pick the front wheels up on the street

good results dude

just so you know the ems stinger actualy runs an internal map sensor :P i have one in my 32 and so does my mate. Mick's tuning is awesome on these units

the power results you got are almost identical to my mate's rb25 with external gate gt30, I dont think you realise just how much of a handfull 380hp is going to be as he runs 265 tyres and it has no problems bagging them up coming onto boost in 3rd haha

post up your power graph when u get it im keen to see the curve

hey guys havnt posted much on here for a while just been busy however my car is ready just went to see it today i got fitted:

gt30 int gate

bosch 044 fuel pump

ems stinger

nismo 740cc injectors

quite happy with the results on low boost 15 psi it made 350hp and on 18 psi it made 380hp so im very happy considering its aint gate turbo and standard internals il be sure to bring it on the next cruise

cheers sam

nice output! i also have r33gtst and am looking to get some work done how much did all that set you back?

I've got 255's on the back, toyo t1r's, $350 a pop that still light up in the upper rev range :P I've got the same turbo & that's full boost at 3500, but ext gate, not sure if there's a difference.

thats cuz they are cheap tyres :miner: i pay alittle less than that for 235 potenza  hehehe

hey guys finaly drove my car back and oo man lol is it differnt only drove it on 15 psi didnt giv it to much i dont wanna risk anything however it tends to light up when i giv it to it in 2nd lol never really reved it past 4.5 grand and man is the screamer loud lol suppose my plates really suit the car now its very silent off boost however on boost can make ya deaf lol

Yeah Sammie...be careful!!! I know what it is like getting it back with a big jumpo in power...take extra care on corners...dont want that boost coming on strong mid corner. You will end up facing the wrong way very fast :(

Have fun...but take care :D

nice figure there sammie and happy 18th on the 31st, lol im 18 on the 10th of feb. anyways my car is getting painted and i got a high mount manifold and a TD06 coming through and i am hoping to get over 300hp. soo when ya get the hang of ya car and when ever i get my car back and finished shall go to the drags and see what our cars can do. :)

sure mate was planing to do the sau one howeveron the way to work today i think i fried my clutch >_< so a bit annoyed but cant expect much out of a standard clutch and can anyoen recomend a good clutch which can hold 300 +kw , and how much roughly to get it fitted and where and any experiences please

cheers sam

    • At this point I'm just 'hoping' it's the turbo seals. I did speak to someone who said it's normal for these turbos to have a bit of axial play? Not gonna lie I've never checked a turbo for axial play before but you could hear it tapping a bit as I moved it back and forth. Surely that's too much? My theory is (could be completely wrong), bad axial play, worn bearings, bad seals, oil into dump/compressor side, burns in exhaust = blue smoke. On a timing belt related note, my crank pulley was missing that front plate that sits in front of the timing belt. It's that metal round plate. It did have the rear one, and the woodruff keys are in the crank which was nice. Can anyone confirm if the NEO det engine has a front plate, im sure it would to protect the front of the timing belt or something. Water pumps...the pump I got was an NPW (yes grill me if I should've got a genuine one lol). It has a smooth mating surface, kit came with a pretty pathetic looking paper gasket. Do I need to use any RTV or just trust the gasket will work because its a smooth mating surface? Cheers legends have a good Easter break!
    • Cheers man, I thought the same.   Bit of an update on it all. It was definitely blue smoke, not grey after all. It didn't really smell oily but it was blue after all. Also puffing just the smallest amount on idle with no throttle.   I ended up pulling the intake and exhaust off and there was around 3mm of axial play on the turbo shaft. So I figured we'll that's buggered and sent it off to get hi-flowed at hypergear. Haven't got it back yet.   I haven't compression tested it yet. Had a look in the cylinder and cylinder 1 spark plug, looked a bit sooty but not oily. Then I've just started doing my timing belt because it's age is unknown.
    • In that case it is probably stock. It lives in the navigator side footwell behind the plastic trim just in front of the a pillar.
    • Good question, I don't really know tbh...I'm pretty stock thought, where could I check this?
    • This. I'm confused by the whole discussion. The only reason you would have a car with e85 only if it was track use and you only ever used e85. All other use cases you add a flex fuel sensor, do the flex tune (you only need to do a couple of % and then interpolate the rest) and then you put whatever the hell you feel like including a mix in the tank and it just works. Want a long drive? fill with 98 Want max zoom? fill with e85 Got a half tank of 98 then find e85 somewhere? Throw it in.
