I got the plenum with the car so i have no idea where to get one or how much its worth.I like the catch can idea where could i place it in my bay and is it a defect, If it is i recon welding a nipple on would be the next thing i would do but will this change the engine performance in any way?

i bought one of those relocated throttle body plentums and my mechanic refused to put it on unless i had a safc or something,

he grabbed a genuine greddy one and showed me/explained how these stock ones front goes low then high then low presure so you will have different volumes of air in the plentum.. when the greddy ones start high and wide then thin/lower towards the back to keep the presure the same across all cylinders..

he rebuilds engines allday and has every kind of machanical degree so i sold it ahah anything he doesnt like i wont buy but ohwell i respect his knowledge n experiance.. i really liked it though ahaaha

before and after dyno runs would be very interesting

just looked at your photo and you can see how they incorperated what i was talking about into that one, looks rediculously clean and very well made !!!

So ur mechanic recoommended a Greddy intake over the cut and shut stock item?

I see what he is saying about airflow, makes perfect sence. I think i will take his advice too.

For those who want a longer cable for there forward facing plenum. I used a throttle cable from a u12 bluebird with an sr20de in it and it fits perfectly.

just to let u all know not to do the front facing conversion on the factory one

i had one on my car they dont work at all

as the other guy said the air flow goes straight to the back and goes in the back cylinder there for the back cylinder is putting in twice as much fuel and air then the others.

thus in this wears out ur motor and use alot more fuel and gives u lest horspower
