well I did it, all very professional like, cutting a thread into the hole, and using a countersunk head... and it sounds preeee-cisely the same!! maybe 10mm of thread and a tightened down screw dont have quite the sealing qualities as i expected! I checked out the pressure of the spring and it didn't seem to be as strong as i would have expected it to be... that may have something to do with it too, maybe the bov was just lifting all the time... will have a shot with some thread tape... but i dont think that will sort it.

A question i do have, how much oil in the bov/intake is acceptible? I noticed there was a bit of residue on the valve itself and looking in the exhaust side of the valve there was a bit too, not "wet" by any means, but still there. I guess you'd expect a bit to be there after 70000 k's?
