i'd like to see some of that 8 million spent on the sh*t quality of roads... or more public transport... rather than their fat super accounts.

and what aobut the second year... it'll probably be another 5-6 million.

i think the $17 increase in rego iz going to roads and stuff...or so they claim

u know whats funny.. we r paying for insurance 2 times..

one with our insurance company and one with rego.. part of rego is a 3rd part insurance to damaged public goods eg. just incase u hit a pole and it knocks down a house.. ur covered for it...

maybe they should roll al this up with our insuarnce companys... if im not mistaken.. doesnt our insuarnce company allready cover that tho?? so we r paying 2 insurances....

As you say guys, its all revenue with this 5k thing. Is the road toll down no, why because its not the people who do the 5ks over that hit people, it is the dick wads that are not watching, paying attention to the road, which is more prevalent now because every one is looking at their bleedin speedo not the road & surroundings like they should be, and this new law has made it worse. How many people have come across people doing 50 in 60 zone you then see people do stupid things trying to pass this poor sod who is looking every where for speed signs not the road. so pollies kiss my:shake:

This is not a paid political statement :P

:werd: r31Heaven..

Actually there was a massive shortfall between even the massive amount we pay on on Rego for TAC and the actual costs they incurred in treating road injuries so something gotta give.. thing is you can still do 120km/hr in a 100 zone quite happily in the country and that to me is where i hear most of the fatal accidents are.. except for those dickheads hooning around in the city with 4 mates in the car, trying to show off, etc... most of the time commonwhores and falcons anyway. Its not casual speeding that is the killer, that just gets the money.
