I bought one of those Greddy rip off manifolds off Ebay for my RB25 and just found out the standard throttle body doesnt fit.

2 of the holes line up but the other 2 are about 10-15mm off.

Can anyone tell me what throttle body will fit?

q45 throttle body will fit. Probably set you back about 250-300.

I have a *genuine* greddy throttle body adaptor here. Will bolt straight up to the plenum so you can bolt std throttle body onto it. It's genuine, brand new. Came with the genuine inlet plenum i bought. 90$ if you want, pm me. *** Dont pm me, i think this just sold haha... took about 2 minutes ***

Take it to a shop to fit. Buy genuine.

Knock offs are fine if your strapped for cash - But you'll find if you buy genuine all the time - it works out about the same as buying knock offs and fixing things they break. Sure, some knock off stuff works out cheaper - some much more expensive. Why not by genuine and have the cool factor as well as the reliability (most of the time )

whats the better option the greddy plenum or the ebays ones cost wise as well. also how hard are they to fit can you do itself or best to take it to a shop.

Im halfway through installing my ebay plenum now, although engine is out of the car, and its not that hard. Just unbolt the old one, swap everything over to the new one, although you will need brass fittings to screw into the plenum to attach hoses to, then bolt it back onto the motor (and throttle body needs an adaptor plate). You also need to play around with a few hoses and need a longer throttle cable.

The main reason im changing plenums is im putting an RB25 into a datsun and want the cooler piping shorter and to look better. Im not really worried about the performance side of it

yep thanks for that im the same for the looks, shorter pipeing and makes it easer to get to the spark plugs.

Do you have pics of the build. what do you mean adaptor plate for the throttle body. also what brass fittings do you need.

cheers

Well as i said in my first post, the throttle body (TB) doesnt fit the greddy manifold, 2 of the 4 holes dont line up so you need to make/buy an adaptor plate or bigger TB.

The brass fittings needed are to screw into the greddy manifold so u can attach your vacuum hoses for BOV, charcoal cannister, brake booster etc etc.

Heres a few pics of the car, it also has airbag suspension and 19's

yep thanks for that, your car looks nice. also what about the TB cable to open the plate. how is that done.

Well i havent got to that part yet, but apparantly you need a longer throttle cable, not sure what car to get it off though or if u need to get one custom made.

Ill let you know when i work it out though
