Hey, im currently having my water pump and timing belt changed while im at it and them guy doing it asked if i could get how much torque is used on the big main nut/bolt on the crank pulley? So if any one out there has a service book and can help me i would much appreciate it. It is for a non turbo Rb20de if that makes a difference. I searched but......the search isnt too great.

The amount of force (torque) needed will turn the engine and if you have it in gear it will move the car.

I recently tried replacing right back to the cam gears and when I took it to a workshop after muffing it the timing belt was too tight and the harmonic balancer was waaay too loose even though the car was moving with me in first (or reverse I forget) gear and on the brakes with my dad tightening the nut...
