a bit lower i'd say - standard stuff - spring rates would be softer and s13 strut length a bit shorter

as for coilovers - hard to say - as they all vary in height anyway. I run S13 ISC in my car at the moment and they're PHAT. i havent got a problem with it being too low, but ISC now offer a different design with the strut bottoms so that it can be a little higher.

Huddy: I thought that the new bottom bracket was to lower the car more? I remember seeing a lot of threads on NS about people not being able to get their cars low enough.

I would think that the spring rates would be pretty similar. Ride just seems more comfortable because the body is heavier.

I purchased s13 Tein coilovers, they were in my car for about a week before I ripped them out.

Its highest settings was still too low. It had NO suspension travel on the front and very little in the rear. (Car just didnt become a pleasure to drive). I was bouncing everywhere couldnt hold the accelerator pedal in the right spot as any little bump would move the car up and down but my foot would stay in the same spot, and I was accelerating more for that half a second (if that makes sence)

Slowing down for corners was the worst, any little bump on the road and the front tyres would lock up for half a second as it got so light over the front tyres, sometimes airborne over small bumps.

So yeah, ive heard some people have no problems, other people have nothing but problems (like me)

Does come at a price though, just over 2K so is fair bit expensive compared to the usual cheap coilovers but I dont want a super low car for the cops to pick on, nor do I want super hard spings that I get shakend up while I drive. I want good handling and everyone knows thats not the lowest or hardest.

Basicly you get what you pay for....

depends on spring rates and how good the shocks are.

i had jap coilovers before and i found them too hard 8k from 6k rear i got the sk stuff and swapped rear springs to front and gots some new eibach springs for the rear (4k) and bilstein inserts in the front and new struts for the rear (bilstein) ....so much nicer to drive around on now

wat type of s13 Tein coilovers were they?coz there different ones aint there?

dam even air borne so i'm guessing ur stock suspension wud have been better

    • I didnt present too many conclusions because I wanted your opinions and feedback based on your own experiences. I don't know the exact material, but it is similar to concrete and therfor only has valuable strength in compression. The forces on the set material once the head is removed would mostly be in compression since the grout wants to retain its shape and the block wants to return to its relaxed state since it's still within the elastic region. The grout would theoretically make the block more rigid. The exact amount would take a better setup on my end. Thought experiment: Instead of aliens, twist your favorite fleshlite. Now fill it with grout and allow it to sit for a week. Now try to twist it again. Observe what you see. Now get your other one and blow into it. Observe what you see. Now put it into a can and fill the space between your fleshlite and the can. After it sets blow into it. Less movement in torsion and less expansion i hope.   
    • Hi. Yeah i think that DIS-008 should be ok too but i rather asked. The R8 coils are "sadly" no go for me cuz every solution is for forward plenum. The coils are too tall and one of the(4/5 DK) would not fit under stock J-pipe. And being this NA RB20 i dont even know where to get some forward plenum.(and of course i would need other stuff like custom AFM/ECU etc) and that is kinda non sense for NA without boost. I just looking for solutions for my case 🙂  I try look into those Yaris/Corolla ones.

    • Did you hit the one 5 minutes down the road from my place before heading back south? 😛
    • Costco uses Mobile as a supplier, I always get Costco 98 when I'm near one, they are typically about 30 cents or more cheaper than the local Mobile
