120mm Thick Intercooler

Just wondering if any one has fitted a intercooler as thick or thicker then 120mm. If so what frount bar did you use?

mines 140mm, u can use any front bar mate, just mount the intercooler further into the rad support, or cut more out of the front bar

stick to x75mm man, even 100mm is too laggy

i got a 140mm thick one and it fits in place of the stock gtr unit, though i needed to major chop chop the front bar (stagea), and yes 75mm is plenty unless u are going over 450rwhp or so.

i found that when i put a 100mm intercooler on to replace my stock gtr one,

it felt more responsive

Im buying a trust frount bar this week just hope it will fit with out a prob. and i notice more responce as well going from stock gtr 75mm to 120mm gtr drag cooler made a big dffrence on my gts-t

ali-turko, i may be wrong, but it may have felt more responsive because the gtr cooler was, well ancient hahahah.. go for a a 600x300x75mm on a rb20, my mate just bought x100mm (upgrated from a x75 after he hit his car), the car just felt so sluggish now he wants a x75 back!

Seriously anything over 75mm is overkill, I can only get about 1/8th of my cooler warm with a good thrashing.

Unless you line on Venus or have a billion hp then it's too much work trying to fit huge coolers

what turbo are you running?

im running stock turbo on 10psi as im just starting to work on the engine mods but alot more will be done.
