Exhaust Noise?

hi,

i have a n/a r33 and i have this weird noise when i change gears. It only happens when i change gears and floor it. its like a blow off valve sound, a very dull one but im almost certain it comes from the exhaust. anyone know what this could be?

Have you made any mods to your exhaust? Inlet? Are you losing power when flooring it? Coils maybe?

all i've got on it is a 3inch exhaust/cannon + apexi pod, its not like a popping sound. like a 'puffff' sound

most likly the stock by pass valve which acts in the same way as a blow off valve but in sted of vent to atmosphare it goes back in to the intake. im not shore if the 33's have them or not but the saab's and evos do. and in a saab you can get the fluter sound by reving the car (while on steep incline in 2nd) (as they have a winter but which disenages 1st) and and then relise when you reach red line and you get the bov sound. so thats what it might be. if your still worry go a auto repair shop and get them to check it out
