Clunkying Noise

hey guys

iv got another problem with my gtr,

the noise started bout 2 weeks ago, everytime i turn left i get this lound rubbing noise, sometimes its sound like metal clashing together and breaking, sometimes dose it when i turn right and sometimes dose it going straight.

but sometiime dosnt even make a noise at all.

this is pissing the shit out of me, iv jacked the car t o look for anything rubbing but nothing, the only thing i found was a split boot on the RH lower control arm, but i dont see why that would make a grinding noise as it dosnt spin,

iv also tried spinning the wheels while in the air front and back and while the wheels were turned both directions.

iv very worried bout my car, im very busy with work to take to a workshop, they all close by the time i finish work,..

can someone please help me,

i got the trhe cv joints redone bout 6months ago, and the boots on them are still perfect

suspension bushes, maybe?

I had something similar - sounds like a creaking or clunking sound. Happens more when it is a hot day.

Got Centreline to put the whiteline bushes in - problem gone

id get it checked out tho,eliminate that from list...

i no its diff but the shackle bushes in my landcruiser make the same noise you mean.

Hard to describe sound through text - but it did sound metallic.

shouldn't cost anything to get it hoisted up and inspected...

I had a similar problem on my old car, what I thought was CVs ended up being engine mounts...

What about the sway bar links , they made a metal on metal sound on my car

i took to a workshop,

my rear tierods were f**ked, there was 10mm play from side to side on my wheels, anywayz im getting everything replaced, bushes, bearing everything.
