Hi all!!

Just thought I'd let ya's all know that I'm moving to Brisbane next week (currently in Adelaide).

My wife and I will be staying with my parents initially (what fun) and hopefully able to rent a house and have our furniture moved up within a month or so from now...should be good.

Great job opportunities in brisbane, which is the reason for moving...if anyone knows of any junior C++ computer programming jobs at their workplace please let me know!!

Looking forward to the next brisbane/gold coast meet/cruise...

Cheers,

Steve.

WOO HOO! Another to bolster the QLD ranks, everyone wants to move to QLD, you know you want to! :P

C++ eh, I might, but it would be here in Rocky..............?

hmmm, i'll be in brisbane suburbs but thanks anyway. In any case I'd be looking for a junior role only as I have no formal qualification in programming but have 2+ years commercial experience in a programming role. I will be taking courses once in brisbane to fix up my lack of certification(s) - looking at doing Java as well and likely SQL to give me some good skills to start with. Kind of looking forward to it...

EDIT: I just want to also add that my commercial C++ experience was quite structured and required a good understanding of professional programming guidelines. 2 years is a lot of programming, and quality of code is always essential in any business software. So yes I am self-taught but I do have very good business programming discipline, and can easily adapt to different coding styles. :)

[/end of shameless self-promotion]

and yes, QLD is a great place to live - from what i can remember - I lived there until I was 12 (family moved to adelaide then).

Sounds good, so where abouts in Brisbane are you moving too? We need another Stag to replace robs!

about 30-40 mins south of the city initially - thats where my parents live.

We'll be moving into our own place soon after we get jobs and enough money to pay for a removalist...but not sure where we'll be living...most likely south. >_<

    • I didnt present too many conclusions because I wanted your opinions and feedback based on your own experiences. I don't know the exact material, but it is similar to concrete and therfor only has valuable strength in compression. The forces on the set material once the head is removed would mostly be in compression since the grout wants to retain its shape and the block wants to return to its relaxed state since it's still within the elastic region. The grout would theoretically make the block more rigid. The exact amount would take a better setup on my end. Thought experiment: Instead of aliens, twist your favorite fleshlite. Now fill it with grout and allow it to sit for a week. Now try to twist it again. Observe what you see. Now get your other one and blow into it. Observe what you see. Now put it into a can and fill the space between your fleshlite and the can. After it sets blow into it. Less movement in torsion and less expansion i hope.
    • Hi. Yeah i think that DIS-008 should be ok too but i rather asked. The R8 coils are "sadly" no go for me cuz every solution is for forward plenum. The coils are too tall and one of the(4/5 DK) would not fit under stock J-pipe. And being this NA RB20 i dont even know where to get some forward plenum.(and of course i would need other stuff like custom AFM/ECU etc) and that is kinda non sense for NA without boost. I just looking for solutions for my case 🙂  I try look into those Yaris/Corolla ones.
    • Damn it, no, I topped up before I got to yours I really should look at Costco locations more when I'm out and about burning through fuel
    • Did you hit the one 5 minutes down the road from my place before heading back south? 😛
    • Costco uses Mobile as a supplier, I always get Costco 98 when I'm near one, they are typically about 30 cents or more cheaper than the local Mobile
