Chinese Suspension

Friend of mine is suggesting on replacing his existing suspension ( which is now blown ) with brand new chinese shocks . He says they are cheap . I think hes crazy . Any thoughts out there ?

when they start caring about manufacturing quality componentry (a few chinese based companies do), rather than just jumping on a band-wagon to make a quick buck (ie. copied turbos), then their stuff will be worth buying.

My guess is you tried to sell your mate some suspension and he chose something different?

not all chinese stuff is crap, but if its got moving parts, id stay away from it, ie coilovers.....

i bet most of this forum has one of the generic "china" intercoolers.

I'd concur with the moving parts thing. If you get chinese exhausts, where its just pipes, they tend to be of a reasonable quality. Its hard to do them wrong. (Note, I'm not talking about their mufflers and resonators, but just piping like manifolds / extractors and Y pipes).

But get anything that requires, you know, tolerances and stuff to be made to exacting specifications and every day's a Friday in the factory.
