hay guys bascilly i just want to know if i will pass on a emmissons test my mods to the skyline are as follow front mount, pfc tuned profect 2 boost controller, catch can venting to atmo, 3inch turbo back zaust,hks pod filter boxed thanks in advance.

Over at the datalogit forums it was noted that there's an issue with the pfc that prevents it passing emissions.

It was some time ago but something to do with when you jump off the throttle.

what can i do to get it up to there standard (besides plumbing catch can back back)what do you mean about the pfc i thought if you got it tuned emmissions would be ok)thanks guys keep the info coming, also the engine in qustion is a rb 25det.thanks guys

I could be wrong.. It was only another tuners opinion over on the datalogit forums.

Monie's car passed with a power FC. now i dont know if it passed or if it was close to passing.. but my readings today where very close on everything except for nox which should be sorted out when i richen it up a bit.

I remembered that advanced ignition can also cause high NOX levels.. So I did a quick google and stumbled upon this that 'may' be of interest.

Thanks cubes thats a big help, although i think ill have to talk to my tuner about it. If the car fails the test what do thay do do thay take the car off the road or what.

for the catch can just put a little filter over the vent and youll be fine there

plum the catch can back in and providing the person who tuned your pfc did a good tune than it will pass a emissions test

btw is this a idle or a rolling run emission test

i dont know if its a idle or a rolling run emission test when i booked it thay didnt tell me, i was actually suprised that i was going in for a emissions test since the defect notice said Quote "Noise, waste gate venting to atmosphere" well its a bit hard for my was gate to vent to atmo since its internal.but i think the officer who wrote the ticket was reffering to my atmo bov

ahaha cops arnt to bright, rock up and say look at the form "wastegate" and show them the wastegate.. they can only test what the form says cant they? if the cop got it wrong then its his fault

yeah i guess but when i rang them up to book a time thay have gorn ok what does defect notice say and i said it had ticked modifcation,chassie,engine/emission. so then thay booked me in for a emissions test.
