Just wondering on what people think is the best paint to use on rocker covers and plenums (GTR). I know I want to paint them the same red (run of the mill red, sorry to be vague) as my strut brace as it will go nicely with the black engine bay and white body. Not interested in HPC, as I have seen it change colour on rocker covers under hot conditions. Any suggestions?

Also, how would I go about preserving the finish on aluminium pieces after they are cleaned? ie throttle bodies, thermostat cover. I was thinking clear anodizing, will be speaking to the anodizer we use at work.

I have used the VHT paints...both in engine enamel and fire proof and have had no issues with them.

I have painted rocker covers on a sr20det, g13b and rb20det and had no issues...and even painted extractors, intercoolers/piping and exhaust/intake manifolds and never had any bubbling or flaking etc

Thanks guys. I remember one type of paint being ok, just couldn't remeber which one.

Another question. Does anybody know what type of paint is used on the z-tune rocker covers and cam covers? Not so much the paint colour but the texture. It has a rough finish to it.
