98 Ron In Perth

Hi All,

Was on the Fuel watch web site today and have found that both Peak and Caltex are now doing the 98 RON in Perth. I thought I should pass this on to all as it may be more convenient than finding a BP....

There is maybe a dozen Peak and 3 or 4 Caltex atm with more to come. Best go to www.fuelwatch.wa.gov.au and search on 98

If that's the case, then there should be no issues with quality. I will be boycotting BP whereever I can now and buy 98 RON from Peak or Caltex.

Just been on the phone to Peak. They often source their finsihed product from Singapore, but the chemist said their 98 is sourced from a Mobil refinery and is the same spec as the Utimate. I assume Caltex is sourced from one of their east coast refineries but I have not been able to confirm this.

All other WA ULP comes from the BP refinery in Kwinana except that inported from Singapore and other states by smaller companies such as Peak, Gull etc.
