Is that 112mins full travel time?

Or 112mins on shinkansen?

The total train travel time including the Shinkansen...

Oh and I thought you were goint to Fuji today so the times I said yesterday were for today.

The 16th is gymkhana and drift. So it won't be that great compared to Tsukuba. But at least you can look at the mountain! I can't find any times for the event

Ah man! So all the good stuff was today???! bugger! We are still going to fuji tomorrow though.

Today we went to the Nissan motor show and the big Nissan dealer around the corner.Man it was sweet,i love the GTR in red with the dark shadow wheels.3 other cars caught out eyes which was the fuga, cima and elgrand.Very nice indeed. While i was looking at some of the concept cars on display one of the 8 absolutely stunning Nissan girls came up to me and had a chat(i did notice that all the girls were exactly the same height)i told her that we were from oz and i was loving the GTR she kindly asked me to wait by the desk while she went and got me some brochures and a GTR DVD!

After that we were off the Chiba for crystal and upgarage.Crystal was absolutely amazing i was in the process of buying a Nizmo GT LSD but the guy said the one i had was a 2 way and they did not have the 1.5 way i was after(spewing!) I asked if any of the brands they stocked had a 1.5 way for my car and he said no!! I was almost in tears as they were really cheap! After wandering around for a while i picked up a Greddy catch can,Greddy oil cap,Nismo clear winkers and a crap load of stickers. At upgarage i was looking for 34 GTR wheels but they didnt have any! There was a HKS 2835 on the shelf which i was very tempted at buying. If anyone has been to super autobacs, could they tell me if they know the price of a Tomei Trax,Cusco or Nismo 1.5 way LSD??? Would like to leave Japan with one :)

Went to Top Secret and Super Autobacs today.

Top Secret was cool went in to see if they had any stuff for my car, they dont stock many parts and the ones they do stock are ridiculously expensive, the stickers i bought came to 125 bux! got some good footage of the cars outside, wasnt allowed to film inside, but i sneaked a shot of a couple of cars that where parked just inside.

Autobacs was a bit of a let down,Crystal is WAY better,i only bought 2 Nismo radiator caps and a Nismo oil cap at autobacs.Which was good because i was preparing for my wallet to get a abit of a canning.Im still keen on bringing back a greddy plenum or a 1.5LSD so if anyone knows another Crystal somewhere let me know, and maybe they will have them in stock.

You can ask Crystal to order it in and EMS it to you if your really keen. You save on tax too apparantly.

I like Crystal and always spend loads of money there but i'm always buggered at the end of the day treking back to Tokyo with armloads of heavy parts. Lugged 20kg of turbos this time. Won't be doing that again.

My auto salon gallery almost up. Many hours of copy photos online.

Here's some toilet humor to get you by

Hi mate its good to see i wasnt the only one who got a kick out of the jap toilets! I love the heated seat.

Well,im sitting in the lounge at Osaka airport, and mate what a trip ive had.The best time of my life so far.Seen so many unbelievable things and been to some amazing places.I will be coming back next year for the TAS no doubt about it.

I will be adding to my SAU blog very soon with all my cool stories and pics so have a look.

CHEERS :)

yeah, TAS this year was a bit too OEM and VIP orientated, dont get me wrong it was great especially for business (for me anyway) but even the big aftermarket guys said it was well short on highly modded cars compared to previous years. The blitz supra was killer and a stand out as was the weld JZX100 and a few others maybe about 10 in total. when in previous years it was like 50 or so cars that make you go HOLY SHIT look at that... and that.... and that.

Got to experience the shinkansen (instead of flying to osaka and f*kuoka) was bit of a laugh, feels like your only cruising but shit they are quick... green car FTW... next time we will fly though as it just eats up to much time.

    • No intention of driving the car the way it's set up now, just wanting to make sure I haven't made any mistakes along the way so that the tune can go smoothly, I don't want to waste anyone's time with stupid issues. And of course I intend to get it towed to the dyno in a completed state 😅 I have the base fuel pressure with the vacuum disconnected set at about 40psi, which I believe is at least relatively close to stock fuel pressure, maybe I'll have a fiddle with the reg and see what happens. For all I know I could be wasting my time with this and I should just plumb it in and see what the tuner reckons. I just find it a bit strange that it seems to be under so much load just free revving, but maybe that's just a result of the turbo slowing down the exhaust gasses and making a restriction in the flow, with no boost to compensate.
    • The boy just hit up google translate and it worked a treat, he said step one was "please urinate with precision and elegance", he then sent me the correct translation  I get some new loctite for the small fixtures tomorrow and get some "dort" going after that 🤣
    • Right, so is the fuel pressure the same as it was previously? If not, well, it's not going to work well. I can understand the theory I assume you are going for, which is: "Run it N/A, and if I have the original AFM, and same amount of fuel and intake air as previously, the fact there's a turbo in my exhaust should still make it run" Which it... might? Provided you don't actually change how much air or fuel is going into the car.. or getting out. But if you have changed that, all bets are off. What is the purpose to even have the car run this way? To get it to a tuner? And if the goal is to limp it to a tuner, you're still going to what - plumb up a whole intercooler system and new intake in the parking lot out front before your tune......?
    • Haha yea it's a bit of a weird setup at the moment, just wanted to make sure I sorted out any headaches before dyno day. At the moment I've changed the exhaust manifold, turbo and downpipe, 460lph fuel pump and rising rate reg as well as the previously mentioned headstuds and gasket. The nistune was already mapped for the car as it was and drove around for a few months no worries. The plan is to run flex fuel hence the big pump, which I've wired direct to the battery through a relay to avoid voltage issues.
    • Um. Was the ECU the same as the one previously there? I know R33's needed R32 GTST ECU's or other tomfoolery to run Nistune. This is such a wild setup. Most people would plumb in the turbo then not drive the car (i.e tow it to a tuner). What's actually changed since it last ran?
