Demoniak
Since apexi is going belly up (again) and looks like it wont be doing much anymore. And also since the r33 gts-t FC chips are now longer being used.... What is the best type of EMS for the R33.. I have been trying to look around for info and all i could come up with was the Wolf V500 which goes for around 2000 + controller. Are there any other ones that can be used for the R33 that you swear by as great performance upgrades etc. lemme hear your "IMHO" posts please (car wont be modded too much, just better breathing and bigger fuel pump//oil pump) Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/155441-ems-for-r33/ Share on other sites

QRI05E
Both the EMS Singer DOES NOT support sequential injection. And only has 4 injector outputs. Not made for a 6 cyl. Recommendations: - 2nd Hand Apexi PFC - Haltech E11v2 (Plug & Play) - EMS 8860 (last resort) Cheers Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/155441-ems-for-r33/#findComment-2891131 Share on other sites
R31Nismoid
Apexi are not going belly up. they just cant get NEC chips for the 2 gtst models anymore. You'll find (if you read Gen Discussion) that Apexera LTD has filed for Bankruptcy Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/155441-ems-for-r33/#findComment-2891587 Share on other sites
QRI05E
EMS would be my second pic from Haltech, for their price they still do a pretty good job. cant go wrong for an EMS Stinger supply, fitted and tuned for $1850.... P.S Its a shame to see such a reputable company go down like that. Especially a japanese company. Im glad i managed to find a decent PFC with h/c at an amazing price (Thanks Ben) Cheers Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/155441-ems-for-r33/#findComment-2891620 Share on other sites

Not made for a 6 cyl.Recommendations: - 2nd Hand Apexi PFC - Haltech E11v2 (Plug & Play) - EMS 8860 (last resort) Cheers kind of irrelivant becasue skylines only need 3 outputs. they fire two pistons at a time in parralell so 2 fire, 2 squirt fuel at a time i run the stinger on my rb20 and my mate runs it on his rb25det vvti (ems supports the vvti) with no hassles at all, both wired into the factory harness supporting factory sensors and idle controllers, cant go wrong for the price you pay... map sensord so i would compare it to an apexi d jetro, but with way more added features and options such as lauch control, rotational idle, antiag, nos the list goes on.. only catch is you can basicly only pick one as the car will use 3 outputs (tacho output, fuel pump relay, aac? valve) so that leaves you with one optional output out off the list above,I HIGHLY recomend EMS dude especialy if your looking for the cheap alternative Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/155441-ems-for-r33/#findComment-2891975 Share on other sites
QRI05E
Yep totaly agree that EMS is excellent value for budget, however sequential injection is more important then people think. It is important for fine tuning each injector individualy. We all know that no 2 injectors flow EXACTLY the same therefore better fuel ecomomy and idle will be achieved with a sequential injection ECU. Sayajin
AEM EMS, by far one of the best fuel mgt options available for the RB. It was my understanding that the AEM EMS had issues with the RB26 engine. Something about the CAS I think? If I recall correctly you have to physically cut off teeth since the EMS doesnt have the ability to process the excess number of teeth on the RB CAS? Now this may have been recently resolved as I did my research about 4months ago and decided to get the Power FC instead. Personally I love the AEM EMS, I used it in my EVO and loved it to death. However it just seemed like for the Skyline the Power FC was a better choice. Plus the fact everyone uses it, so there are many resources available to you for help. -Sayajin Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/155441-ems-for-r33/#findComment-2896200 Share on other sites
