I have been told repeatedly (Ok, I am not very clever) that a good option for a track GT-R is a front LSD. Mostly people refer to it as a 1 way (obviously a 2 way at the front would be stupid).

On checking the Nismo cattledog they only list a 1 1/2 way. Are we talking about the same thing here, or not?

Secondly, can anyone offer up an alternate brand other than Cusco?

well the 'way' thing works like this (you probably know most of this anyway).

1 way is locked under acceleration only

2 way is locked equally under accel or decell.

1.5 way is fully locked under accel, but partially (more softly) locks under decell. so it behaves a little more gently under decell.

it's basically just a differnt shaped cam and smoother ramp angle cut into the side.

I think for the front a 1 way would be best.

alternatives would be ATS, cusco, kaaz, tomei, os giken. I'm sure there are others too. the cusco ones are good though.

Thanks Baron (gees, fancy running into you here).

Ok, well cusco list one. They also mention two differnt activation angles 35 & 45 degrees. Can anyone shed some light on the difference?

Cheers

yeah, the 35 degree is the ramp angle. less angle, means less severe operation. I think their diff centres come with both? and you can set it up with the angle you want. they have a lot of pics and text explaining it in the goods master. I'll try and scan tomorrow.

Apparently you can spec them up with either. I was just trying to get a feel for which may be better.
