OK So I have a manual converted Stagea with a R34 GTT Power-FC installed.

All work was done well before I bought it and was done in a workshop with the previous owners help.

So when I bought it I was told 2 things:

1. The "Check Engine" light on the dash is wired in incorretly. Meaning that it is actually lit when is is meant to be off and vice verca. So my "Check Engine" light is on all the time, but it still flashes if there is any pinging, was just told that if it goes off I should worry.

2. The actual air con compressor needs to be turned on via a seperate switch as they couldnt get it to work with the Power-FC.

So on the xmas break I did a heater core replacement, and thought while I have the dash out why not fix the check engine light issue, so I asked the workshop what I would need to know, and they were clueless, so was the previous owner as it was done several years ago and niether could remember.

So without a hand controller I really dont know why the "Check Engine" light is on, and would like to know why it is on and if I can do anything to change it to work as normal.

Also about the air con. Now when I hit the air con button on the climate control unit, the rpm rises and I cn hear thing moving under the dash, but the actuial compressor does not get turned on until I turn on the switch that they wired onto the dash to turn it on, why would they do that for?

Thanks for any/all suggestions

they are feeding you shit with the engine light.... go into the hand controller or if you have access to it fc-edit and check all the switches/ sensor readings, i bet you find some are not connected. stagea and R34 are not identical pinout wise from memory. i would just get a pinout diagram of each and compare each pin, it should not be hard to find which pins are missing or ass about.

If you can't fix it via the FC, just put this circuit in, it will make the light work in reverse

You just need any 12V relay nothing heavy duty, just a low mA rated one. connect up as shown.

PS you love my PS skillz and lack of pink bits

SWEET I have a guy here in town who is a good mate and an auto electrition so might hit him up and get him to make this for me, thanks dude :)

i had engine light come on, meant the power fc boost control system was turned on when it should of been off as i had an avcr there.

if you don't have the controller you might be abit stuck without a tuner

Yeah there is one dyno tuner in town, but wouldnt trust them as far as I could throw them, so if there are any switches to check I might just see if I can instruct them on how to use thier gear to check my PFC.

Thanks to everyone as well, I can use all the help I can get :) That'll teach me for living out in the boonies :)
