290.8RWKW @ 14.8PSI

328RWKW @ 18PSI

yeah they didnt arrive in time, i only like the to use these as they offer the best results with the combo.

we also stopped at 18psi as the car will only run 15psi during comp use.

Even so doing the runs @18psi with 3 people in the boot and a few differrent attempts to stop wheel spin we could not get a wheelspin free run..... damn those drifted on square tyres realistically i would expect a bit more say 15rwkw at 18psi and 10rwkw @ 15psi but it will have to wait. I really wanted to tune up to 22psi as these things really come on song up there but having a flashy dyno sheet was not worth the effort of changing tyres.... call me lazy.

PICS SOON

yeah what a dissapointing weekend at round two of DA for DCR, we had issues with the car all weekend.... somewhere in the 10yo factory GTR loom is an evil power robbing wiring gremlin.... car would not rev over 5000rpm consistantly.... bring on the next round.

i was suprised she qualified mid field with such a misbehaving car .....

What exhaust components did you customise (if any)?

I'd assume you would leave the front pipe sitting in such a way that any off-the-shelf S13 catback would fit.

None GTR front pipes and s13 cat back line up perfectly

UPDATE:

Had the car a Calder for its first real shakedown and after lots of suspension fettling the car seems to be quite a weapon. looking forward to having some fun at wakefield on the weekend.

BTW nice looking car looks mint on the track.

I notice the power figures you quote are quite nice but @ calder it seemed to bog down a lot, fuel up and struggle to go anywhere. I know a lot of GT-R guys ditched the trust turbo's due to lag are you guys have some issues or just not finished tuning?

not sure what you mean? she could not find enough grip she was harldy ever giving it much stick ie hardly reved it over 6000 as it spun str8 to redline.... it is actually too responsive (better than the garret 2860-5's used on previous cars). and could not get traction..... maybe it looked that way as we were not drifting the last corner properly as the car holds too much speed to pull up in time for the barriers, the final corner is a no brainer and wastes tyres for no reason......

we also dont go to these practice nights at calder to go flat out comp style, we go there just to set up the car a lot of people mistake testing different aspects of the car to us actaully having problems, we had only a few handling issues (lack of traction) which is now sorted.

The car is going to NSW for a comp this weekend and we could not afford to damage so we only did what we needed not what people probaly wanted to see..... which opens a whole other issue, i dont think people should have to pay to watch a practice session because many expect to go and see drifting only. Often we will only do one section at a time make a few changes and try another section purely to save the car and tyres..... and the crowd doesnt understand this (obvious from your statement) other drivers even put in complaints that we were doing fishies on the str8 and when they themselves did it they got kicked off...... we were warming tyres....big differrence.

    • I believe there was a similar one posted by @duggyphresh. They were re-routing their battery positive cable in the way I am also trying to achieve. Sorry, I’m new to this forum, so was a bit late to the party by a few months and so reignited the old thread, as I wanted to know how they got on with doing it.
    • Wasn't there a thread on this very subject just a few weeks ago?
    • Hi all! Looking to relocate the battery to the trunk of an R34 GTT. I want to do it using as many stock GTR components as I can (including the harness protectors from the 34 GTR that run underneath along the chassis to the engine bay). So far I’ve purchased the battery tray from a 33 GTR, as the captive weld nuts are already there just asking to be used. There is also the slight issue of now having to relocate the ABS/TC/Fuel Pump Control ECU, which in GTT’s sits right above where the battery will then sit on the tray. Has anyone already achieved this, and if you have any pics that you wouldn’t mind sharing? It would be great to see how others have done it and where you put them, as there are countless holes in the parcel shelf panel to potentially use. Just trying to get some ideas bounced around, and to help uncover any potential problems I may encounter by  my choice of location. TIA for any help!
    • Brand was ard.   I also threw a brand new battery at it and beefed up the wire from the alternator to battery and added an extra earthing point from the battery
