Do most people just mount the GTR pump to the GTST cradle (modify slightly) or do they get the cradle from the GTR and use that?

I have heard reports of noisy pumps so I want to make sure I mount it correctly..just wondering if I need to buy it with the cradle..

Thanks

I had an R32 GTR pump put in my R33, it whines and makes all those fuel pump noises (2 stage, high/low). I cant hear it with the radio on or window down, and when others hear it I tell them I have a fully sick Warlbro 044 Bosh race pump, specially modified for drifting. Gets me all the hot chickes.

Jordon, probably incorrect mounting.

The thing is, sure, a gtr assembly may go straight in, but most people don't sell the gtr pump with the assembly. With the exception of those that have bought a complete nismo replacement which includes cradle (expensive), others who upgrade the pump replace just the pump and keep the cradle.

If it rattles, make sure you clamp it to the cradle harder.

Some people use a bit of rubber between the cradle and the pump, but I find that uncessary. Stock pumps and cradle don't use rubber, so it's not necessary. Just make sure it's clamped tight, so it can't move.

If it makes noise, add another hose clamp
