Turbo And Cat For R32

hey guys,

just wondering if anyone has the following as i need a vg30 or a stock r32 turbo for rb20... need to get car off defect. also need a cat converter...

i have a vg30 on atm but it sorta no good now lol...

There is a guy selling a stock RB20 turbo in SA at the moment (Nisskid). I think he wants $150 for the turbo, dont quote me on that though...

hey i think my seals are gone on the vg30??? is it expensive ti fix?? should i bother about getting a new one? and is a stock rb20 turbo good??

You can't fix the seals in the vg30 unfortunately.

BUT.. If you can pick up a cheap Rb20DET turbo you can bolt the VG30 housings on the rb20det turbo and have a vg30det again.

The RB20 and VG30 turbo's run the same turbine and compressor wheels. Which is pretty crappy really but oh well.

what turbo r u running on ur 32 cubes??? and how much and is it good??

VG30det turbo is good for around 180-190rwkw depending on dyno.

In my case ~10-15rwkw more than the rb20det turbo.

So bugger all really.
