G4's are way to stiff, and I'm not one to whine about loud exhausts and pedantic niggling things on my car.

Yes they are a cool color, 30 way adjustable or whatever, but they are not suitable unless you hit the track a hell of alot. And I got the softest G4 option too.

I wish the SK package for my car was available back then.

In a 33, they may be a better ride given the heavier weight but I doubt it.

i got D2's in my gtr (stupid insurance would fork out for teins, Had ARC beforehand)

D2's are pretty much the same as G4 (just diff colour)

and yeah they are WAY to stiff for daily ... might be alright for track

you shouldnt really trust a coilover that hides behind HUGE spring rates

soon im goin for Tein Super Streets

go to Nengun they got Tein Super Streets delivered for like $1500

Check it out not a good idea to skimp on one of the most important parts of your car i.e. Suspension

Cheers

can different springs be used instead of the G4's?? eg whiteline. etc Would that improve the ride someway?

do you mean whiteline springs on G4 coilovers?? probably but...

Why?? better to go full whiteline

really you can specifically order certain spring rates when you buy new coilovers

You would need to get rectangular coils so that it would fit into the coilovers. I'm not sure if Whiteline makes them, I havn't seen them anyway. The shocks would then have to be revalved.

You're much better off just buying the Whiteline/Bilstein groupbuy

yeah i realise that now since already got them..dont really want to buy another set Sk group buy and spend another 1500 just yet. Altho the Sk sus set up looks like the go, too bad i didnt see it before buying the g4's, will try with different softer springs from different manufacturer and see how it goes.

Hi guys, just thought I would clarify a few points about our G4 shocks.

Initially when released, the G4 range like D2 did have a very firm factory spring rate set included with each kit, and while many of our customers were very happy with the firm ride, we had others who were wanting something more forgiving.

With this in mind we have done extensive testing with a number of customers and used their feedback to further develop and change the G4 shock offerings to ensure that we can cater for all customers.

As a result of the research we conducted and the feedback, ALL new G4 Racing Coilover Kits now use 20% softer shock absorber inserts and we still offer each and every customer a free changeover service on springs when purchasing, so if any customer is not happy with the factory springs, we have a large selection of different rate springs which we can fit up when purchasing at no extra charge. As a result, we can effectively tailor the shock package to suit each customers preference.

We stand by every G4 suspension kit we sell and every kit includes a 2 year replacement warranty so if anything should go wrong, or a customer should be dissatisfied for any reason, we are here to help.

Furthermore please note that unlike other comparable brands like D2 and ISC, we have placed a massive investment into G4 to make sure that spare part or warranty request that we may receive can be acted upon immediately as we have a huge inventory of not only brand new kit but also every possible spare part and component from rubber bushings to replacement inserts - all in stock.

Thanks guys.

Steve, I have had street spec G4's in my S15 for about 9mths now.

Whats the process if I wanted to 'soften' these up?

Obviously I will need to pay for postage, are there any other costs?
