Car:

- 1983 Datsun 280zx 2+2

- Series 2

- T top

- Standard features include: Air Conditioning (removed from car, but all parts included with the car) rack and pinion Power Steering, Electric Windows, Electric Mirrors, rear Windscreen Wiper)

Engine/Mechanical:

- Body has roughly 192,000k’s on the dial, but engine rebuilt 7000 k’s ago.

Rebuilt L28

- Reco N42 head

- Treated N42 L28 block

- Hypatech 40tho high performance pistons

- Power max timing chain

- King big end bearings

- NDC main bearings

- Complete engine balance

- Hastings chrome rings

- Metal head gasket

- Redline pod filter

- Reconditioned alternator

- Engine Blue slipped

Drive Line:

- Converted to 5 speed manual

- New clutch master cyl

- New clutch slave cyl

- New hydraulic line

- New clutch,

- Refaced fly wheel

- New Diff gasket

- New Diff Mount

Engine bay:

- New triple core radiator

- 16in electric fan connected to thermostat

- Injector loom extended and hidden

- New motor sport extractors (imported and heat tape wrapped) flanged

- 2.5 exhaust

- In line hot dog and rear muffler

Body work:

Rust removed from:

- Top right front ¼

- Bottom left ¼

- Front left and right inner wheel arches

- Drivers floor pan

- Rear left and right windows

- Center bonnet

- Left and right targas.

- Front and rear bumpers stripped and resprayed

- New Windscreen

note: small amounts of rust is coming through around the boot window (the boot does not leak), there are some very small bumps on the top of the front quarter panels, some stone chips but overall for its age and colour – its in good condition (see pics)

Brakes and Suspension:

- All rotors refaced

- New pads all round

- New hand brake cable

- Rear brake calipers reconditioned

- New single tank brake master cyl

- New front ball joints, new tie rod ends

- New front and rear adjustable Cusco strut braces

Rolling:

- Apec racer 6 gold 17x7 multi 4 stud fitting ( no marks/scratches/scuffs at all)

- Antyre 215/45ZR17 91W XL tyres

- 25mm spacer blocks

Sterio:

- Alpine 9853 motorized head unit (mp3)

- 05 precision response kevlar 6.5 splits

- All wires required to run a amp running to boot (4 gauge)

Interior:

- 10% window tint,

- Complete interior transplant (from blue to maroon)

- Crackles dash with all controls and gauges working,

- Manual consul

- New carpet

note: some parts of the interior are better then others, but overall things like the seats, interior door skins, dash, controls, standard steering wheel, carpet etc are all in great condition.

Extra Info:

- all fluids changed ( engine oil + filter, gearbox, diff, power steer, coolant) as of the 3rd February 2007

- many original papers ( including original warranty information, service recommendations, cassette player manual, dealer directory, s130 owner’s manual etc – see pictures)

- many receipts from work I have done + previous

- very well looked after and maintained vehicle

- all progress has been documented photographically as well as on a local (Newcastle) zed car enthusiast internet forum.

- 4 standard 280zx S2 wheels with plenty of rubber left are included

WOW!!

That is one nice looks 280.!! I can't get over the over how good that paint is. This has been really well looked after. Congrats on all the hard work man.

Any estimates of the power this is putting out?

Wish you were selling this 2 months earlier, I wouldve snapped it up in no time!

as embarrassed as I am to say it, iv never actually dyno’d the old girl so im not sure what power its pushing, but they have around 135bhp standard im told, so with the mods done im sure its well and truly past that mark. Would be interesting to find out but.

All these pictures were taken Friday 23rd of February, basically trying to show what condition the body is, usual trouble spots, interior shots etc.

If I was keeping the car I would probably get new coilovers, fix the rust on the boot that’s starting to come through, get a professional detail that’s probably about it. The interior is complete and in good condition(apart from some small missing parts that I haven’t installed yet or stuff that I haven’t felt the need to source out) the body is straight (apart from some bumps ontop of the front quarters – as I tried to get a photo of) the paint is fantastic in some parts but other parts have some imperfections (such as the rust starting to come through on the boot, cracks forming on the rear left quarter, but black paint will show up every spec of dust as everyone would know)

Overall for a 24 year old car its in fantastic condition and is a great example of a classic zed car.
